“Good eats”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Have been here several times since moving to Prescott, usually good food but service seems to be lacking @times. My b/f had a steak and I had the bacon cheeseburger, I have to admit it was one of the best burgers I have even had and cant wait to have it again, fries were yummy too. Sadly though as my b/f was served he was only told then that they ran out of baked potatoes and had given him fries, didn't ask if he wanted any other side....just HERE YOU GO. This isn't the first time they have run out of baked potatoes, which is odd for a STEAKHOUSE. I recommend you don't go on a Sunday night, as they are closed on Monday so it seems they tend to run out of items the day before. Once I ordered the side of cottage cheese, what I got seemed like a frozen version of ricotta cheese, VERY cold and very bland. Service is always iffy, it appeared they only had one waitress in our section in the back, while she was nice she seemed very overwhelmed and expressed it....also not a first for us. Still though we will go back as the prices are more than reasonable for this area and ambiance has always been up to par, also their free birthday meal is a great deal!

“Cowboy Up!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Took my 4 and 6 year old grandsons here for dinner while we were in town for the rodeo. Great food, cold beer and good prices. The cowboy singer was also outstanding. It's a great, rustic western steakhouse.

“Awful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

The only thing worse than the food here is the service.

Missing items, wrong items, poorly cooked food and the waitress giggled through it all. I am glad she was so amused because we were NOT.

I don't understand what the attraction is. It was awful.

“Prescott AZ local favorite steakhouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

Not well-known except to Prescott locals, the Dry Gulch specializes in great steaks and other cuts of meat. Vegetables? Yeah, sure, potatoes and onions maybe, and good salads too, but that's not what you came here for! An 8oz filet or 8/10oz sirloins are fantastic cuts and cooked to perfection; they are very careful to listen and discuss how well you want your steak grilled. My medium sirloin was outstanding. One diner with us had ribs; a rack of porkys overlapped both ends of a large oval plate! I had one and they are delicious also. Dinner salads come with crumbled blue cheese on request. Also try a side of grilled onions or mushrooms. There is a full bar, bottled beer, and red wine from possibly a gallon jug. Numerous pictures of John Wayne and other cowboys decorate the walls, as well as lots of animal horns, bits of rope and barbed-wired. You get the picture; a western steakhouse, but you can still wear a Hawaiian shirt and they won't throw you out. Also, a free steak on your birthday is on offer. Give this one a try when you are in Prescott.

“Ribs are fantastic and the singer is very cool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

had the ribs and couldn't finish. very meaty and done perfectly. just had to work slightly to pull the meat off the bone as ribs should be. The slab was one of the largest slabs I have ever seen. Also the singer Denny plays a great variety of old country, blues and rock music and is very entertaining.
