“Ok, but nothing to write home about.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Typical Mexican food, hurried service. Felt as if they wanted us to get out so they could go home (it was 6 p.m.). Refried beans were the best item on the plate.

“Hidden Gem of Mexican Resturants in Arizona”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

Road trip through Sedona to Phoenix during Memorial holiday went through Prescott looking for Mexican food and found one based of trip advisors reviews and so glad we stopped in. The inside from the moment we went in was beautiful and the servers were fast and friendly. Ordered a tamale and enchilada meal, chees crisp, kids taco meal and green chili burrito enchilada style family meal. The tamale was one of the best I have ever had in Arizona nice size green corn, rice was actually authentic Mexican rice with vegies and great bean. The salsa was a bit bitter but besides that our visit was memorable we definitely plan on returning to this nice little restaurant below the Best Western Hotel.

“Excellent Mexican Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

We've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants. This definitely ranks among the best. Food was well prepared and tasty. Service was great. We'll be back when in the area again.

“Best Mexican Food in Prescott!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I LOVE and appreciate great Mexican cuisine. I lived in San Diego for ten years, and enjoyed authentic Mexican fare on both sides of the border. When I first moved to Prescott, I made the rounds to all of the Mexican restaurants, and the food, atmosphere, and service here was head and shoulders above the others.

I now frequent Plaza Bonita several times a month, and it NEVER disappoints!

“OK Mexican food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

This restaurant is attached to the Best Western Hotel and is a good choice if visiting the area and staying at the hotel, especially if you have had a long day and only want to walk across the parking lot from your room.
The decor is a little tired, the booth seats need recovering. The staff is friendly but not the most efficient we have run across.
I know a lot of Mexican food is simply waiting to be put in a microwave but it would be nice to get the illusion of the food being prepared to order by not bringing it our in less than 5 minutes from when you order it! The food was good but not great ... there are better options for a good Mexican meal in Prescott.
