First, this campground doesn't have activities or a playground for children. Good luck finding one that does in the Prescott area. No pool either. The laundry closes at 7pm and doesn't open until 8am. That's the negatives.
The campground is nestled in the Granite Dells area north of Prescott so the campsites are shoe-horned in around the beautiful granite formations. It is adjacent to Watson Lake park and you can walk right from your campsite to the miles of trails that circle the lake. Native Gambrel quail frequent the campground and are quite beautiful. Scrub oak, pinon pines, cedar, and cacti are everywhere. If you are visiting in May bring a camera and photograph the many cactus flowers.
Downtown shopping, Whiskey Row, and Sharlot Hall Museum are just a few miles away as is Enterprise car rentals.
