We confirmed our exchange through RCI in August for our December Trip. As you may expect, we were counting down the months. We arrived late the day of check-in from a 11 hour drive. We were able to check in with no problems. The staff was very nice and very accommodating.
We had a 1 bdr/1bath unit with a full kitchen on the second floor. It was very quiet - though they had mentioned the resort was full at the time, it felt like we were the only people there. It always amazes me when the resort suite is larger than my actual apartment.
The kitchen was stocked with nearly every tool we needed, only thing we missed was a cookie sheet for things like biscuits or cookies. We brought our crockpot to use. This was a great way for us to prep and cook dinners all day while we were out skiing or touring the area and come back to a nice bowl of hot chili. we found out later that they have cookie sheets at the front desk, if we just asked. By then, it didn't matter much.
The TV was small... we weren't there to watch TV, but it was a it outdated technology wise. They were still working on getting wifi hooked up - they said by the end of Feb at the latest, so hopefully they have that hooked up now. The only other issue I had was with the bed - it was so firm that I woke up the first morning in pain from being so stiff. I might as well have been sleeping on the floor. Meanwhile my fiance had the best night's sleep he's had in years. They did provide a foam matress cover to be used. I folded it up and placed it on my side. After that, all was well.
We went to the week's start resort info session. This wasn't to sell you a timeshare, but to make sure you understood the property rules (very standard stuff) and so you were aware of all the amenities and where to dispose of trash, where to get ice etc. Also, the staff was very knowledgeable about all the various activities in the area. We wanted to go Horseback Riding in the snow. They provided us with the contact information for a local stable and we were able to make arrangements to do so.
I wouldn't say this was a luxury resort, but it was a nice cozy comfy time. They have an indoor pool, rec center, and a hot tub. It was very wonderful to see the snow fall from the room. They did a good job of keeping the lots and roads clear of snow. We will probably return some day. It was a great value.
