Absolutely loved it. My husband & I went there for our Birthday weekend and have already booked it to go back again. It is very peaceful & relaxing. We stayed in the deluxe spa cabin & we didn't have one complaint (the bed is even very comfortable). It's great because you feel like you are away from it all, yet you are only minutes from restaurants, bars, shopping, etc.

You can either stay in, go hiking, shopping, you name it & is is there. We plan on making this an annual trip!!!

We booked in for only one night to begin with. Our 1 bedroom cabin was the closest to the highway and we were not sure how the noise level would be. No problem at all. Felt as though we were all alone in the pine forest. Super clean. The Darbi's restaurant located next door is great, too. Wish we could have stayed more than 2 nights. The grounds are great for strolling and the management was very helpful with ideas of places to hike and birdwatch.

We had cabin #15 which was beautiful. It was a small two bedroom nestled in the middle of the property. The master bedroom had a queen and a twin, the guest bedroom had another queen and then the living room was a queen hide-a-bed, so this was very comfortable for the 6 of us. The fireplace was so nice in the living room so we could play board games on the coffee table and enjoy the time we had up in Pinetop. The porch was large with chairs, a small table and a charcoal grill. We could walk about 3/4 of a mile to a beautiful lake with lots of ducks and a really nice creek with a waterfall. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Stayed five great days @ whispering pines resort, very secluded cabins. self contained. These cabins are in the forest and off the highway, how ever very quiet and peacfull. The management is very nice and prices are reasonable. The area is clean and the cabins are clean. Great place for a summer retreat. If we ever get back to Pintop AZ, will stay there again.
