I was here on business, definitely not a hotel I would have booked on my own. When I first checked in there was a problem with my corporate credit card. After calling the card company, they offered a manual authorization. Of course, no one at the hotel could figure out how to process a manual authorization, so I ended up paying for it with my personal funds.
The clincher for me happened this morning. I went to the complimentary breakfast and toasted an english muffin. There was an attendant who greeted me while she moved a fruit basket. Another employee (presumably the on duty manager) walked up to her and whispered something. She then approached me and asked me to see my room key. I asked her why I had not been asked for the key the day before and also why another couple who entered the room shortly before me were not being asked. Her reply was simply "we ask everyone". I witnessed a man from a seminar in the hotel come into the same room and get a cup of coffee without being questioned. I told the manager that I hope it was worth angering a customer over an english muffin. Even if I hadn't been a guest of the hotel, was it really worth pissing of a guest? He had nothing to say. I've already informed my company so that they would be sure not to send any other staff members here. Anyone thinking of staying here should heed this and the other reviews. Keep looking!
