“Wonderful stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

Wow, what a great staff, these folks know how to treat their customers. From check-in to check- out we were treated like you should be treated, with courtesy and respect. The rooms were clean, tidy and well kept. The shuttle service was prompt and courteous, and the stay and fly parking was free. We flew to Hawai'i for a week and didn't pay a dime to park there while we were gone. That saved us at least $60 plus on parking alone. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the social night in the evening was equally as great. What's better than ice cold beer, wine, and a free warm meal. Stay here, you won't be disappointed!!!!!

Room Tip: As always, stay up high to avoid foot noise from above

We missed our connecting flight to Mexico, so US Airways put us up in this hotel. We could not have been more pleased. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The van driver picked us up promptly from the airport and even took us by the supermarket to get some things we needed. He also took us to the nearby Ruby Tuesday for dinner and offered to pick us up, but we walked the few blocks back to the hotel. The room was very clean, modern and spacious. The breakfast was also very good and they had biscuits and gravy, which was very good. I highly recommend this hotel!

We have stayed in many Residence Inns across the country but found the staff at this particular property the best yet! Good location, shuttle service to the airport (allowed us to drop the car off a day early), decent breakfast and clean and comfortable accommodations. It was a good way to end the trip.
Dining across the street at the Chinese Cultural Center and down the road to Ruby Tuesdays were available and walkable.
The staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable.

Room Tip: If you have a rental car, plan on dropping it off early and using the hotel shuttle to get back. Wi...

My wife and I were only planning a 1 night stay and picked this hotel for its location. This hotel met our expectations. The room was very comfortable, and my wife was very pleased to see that the sinks were outside the bathroom...often a source of controversy.
The hotel was very quiet through the night and that was appreciated after a long day of travel.
Everything worked fine, no complaints.
Only caution would be expectations about breakfast...it was complimentary, so I cannot complain, but it was only so so. Nonetheless, we got our Arizona vacation off on the right foot.

Since my original flight was delayed for over 8 hours, I missed my connecting flight home. The airlines put me in the Residence Hotel until my new flight left the next morning. I was able to get something to eat and take a shower and sleep in a very clean, nice, comfortable suite.
I enjoyed my stay.

My family of five stayed here for one night after arriving at Phoenix Sky Harbor late in the evening. We received a good price on a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite. It had 3 flat-screened tvs, living area with sofabed, a full kitchen and two bedrooms with a queen in each room. Rooms were very clean but place was a little dated. Breakfast in the lobby area was wonderful - lots of choices - make-your-own-waffles, scrambled eggs, and regular continental offerings. We didn't use the pool area but it was very nice-looking. Good choice for an airport stay!

The Residence Inn at the Phoenix Airport is the very best! I have stayed at several Residence Inns throughout the South and many hotels throughout the USA, and except for Hawaiian hotels and the JW Marriott in Washington DC, this is the best hotel of all of them.
We suffered through a day of flights and cancelled flights when we finally got a vouchure for a free night at an airport hotel in Phoenix. What a pleasant surprise - the shuttle driver was most informative, telling us about the Chinese Cultural Center across the street, and the various area restaurants. He actually offered to drive us to one and pick us up after we ate!
Once at the hotel, the night manager was most friendly and the room, although on the small side for a suite, was clean and quiet. After unpacking we talked to the night manager about local restaurants and chose to go to Ruby Tuesday. It's three blocks away, but the manager said it was a relatively safe walk, but gave us his card in case we wanted a ride back. It was a balmy evening, perfect for a walk. When we returned, he asked how the food was and if there was anything else he could do.
The morning buffet breakfast was amazing! They had eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, fruit, yogurt, many baked goods, oatmeal, cold cereal and the usual juices. All tasted very good! This was a Sunday - perhaps they make Sunday breakfasts better than weekday, but it was terrific!
All in all, you can't bet the Residence Inn at the Phoenix Airport for friendliness, cleanliness and good free breakfast.

Room Tip: I always ask for a room away from the elevator & ice machine.
