“If you can't go to NOLA - go to Pappadeaux!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014 via mobile

Our group started off with a "swamp thing", "Pappadocious", and beers to accompany 2 dozen oysters! Dinner was CRAWFISH ETOUFFEE w/dirty rice, 2 orders of MISSISSIPPI CATFISH OPELOUSAS
Blackened catfish with oysters, shrimp & crabmeat in a lemon garlic butter sauce, with dirty rice, and
CEDAR PLANK ATLANTIC SALMON
Topped with garlic herb butter & broiled on a smoky cedar plank, with asparagus. All fabulous.

“The salmon dish was bad”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

We went there on a last week. The place was packed with over an hour and a quarter wait (we didnt have reservations) Once seated, I admit that the service and waiter were great. I ordered the crispy Atlantic salmon entree. It tasted old and was way too salty. I couldnt finish it.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

We met a couple at the hotel that said we ought to try eating here as they loved it. Well, we were not impressed and very disappointed. For the price we were expecting great seafood and that was not the case. We split the oyster and shrimp appetizer ($15), my husband said the oysters were good but my shrimp were only fair at best. I got the fried seafood platter, the three shrimp were not bad, the crayfish were a joke, if not for the breading you would not have seen them on the plate, the talapia was okay. The plate was piled with french fries that could have fed six people. My husband got the shrimp and andouille and said it was only okay. Don't go expecting the food to taste like it does in New Orleans!

“Love papadeaux”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

I am from
The Kansas City Missouri area and there is not a pappadeaux in our area. Love pappadeaux and when ever I find one. It's def a go to. Have tried many dishes from fried to baked and grilled. Mild to spicy. All have been very good. Don't be afraid to try different items. This visit it was fried catfish at lunch. Mild and crispy. Chose cheesy grits as a side. AWESOME! not a disappointment. Servers are always very patient and knowledgable if u have questions. Great job pappadeaux again.

“Fat Tuesday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

I went with about 35 friends to this restaurant on Fat Tuesday. We had several tables. Lots of beads were spread out for everyone, along with a big ice chest with water bottles and sodas in the courtyard. The courtyard is beautiful, and we were given menus as we waited for tables to be available. Plenty of wait staff kept us happy outside until we were called in. After being seated, our waiter was solicitous, bringing everything we asked for, and replacing a "dirty" martini with another. He was patient and took care that everything we wanted was given. I ordered the blackened Costa Rican maui from the lunch menu which is available to seniors all day every day. Those prices are very appealing. The maui came with a dressing of crab, and cheese grits with andouille sausage. The fish was delish, spicy, moist. And the grits were fantastic. A fun time was had by all! I admire how they handled the huge crowds that came in all afternoon into the early evening.
