Last week on a Friday night I came home from a particularly rough week at work and told my husband I *NEEDED* a great meal and a little pampering. We live in a neighborhood blessed with a number of good Mom & Pop restaurants, but my mind kept turning towards Tutti Santi and that's were we ended up. We didn't have a reservation but it was still early, 5:30pm. We were seated immediately and soon were sipping cocktails and munching on warm bread. I love the wee little bottle of sparkling wine, cold & sparkly, just what I needed to wind down. We started with soups and Caesar salads. I had my favorite entree, the Fettuccine Mare E Monti with Shrimp (yum) and my husband had the Eggplant Parm with a side of spaghetti. As usual, everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The portions were large enough for us to each get a 2nd meal out of the leftovers the next day. My husband couldn't resist the Creme Brule for dessert, and the waiter brought us each a shot of flaming Sambuca compliments of the house. All this and the check came to only about $65 USD before the tip. This isn't the Olive Garden, so IMO for the quality of food and service, including 2 alcoholic drinks plus dessert, it was a good deal. The ambiance is old world Italian with Sinatra playing in the background, and the service was wonderful. We've taken friends and family there in for special occasions, and as ex-pat New Yorkers our families know good Italian food!! Tutti Santi has never let us down!
