We lived in St. Louis for many years and not far from "The Hill" -- known throughout the country for harboring the best Italian bakeries, delis and restaurants in every price range. Ruffino's is equal to best, without an exhorbitant price tag. It's not cheap, but you can find great selections for a reasonable price. OK, think great warm garlic bread in taste-tempting slices, followed by a salad made at your table with just what you want and good quality ingredients. Then your entrée. I don't care what you order, the pasta will be homemade, the meat and fish and chicken cooked perfectly. And then the sauces. All homemade and all delicious. Try dessert if you have room. If you can't finish, they package it up for enjoying with your coffee in the morning. Then tell them "We'll be back!" with gusto when you leave.
