“Wonderful Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2012

I stayed at this hotel after reading most of the reviews. The property itself is so beautiful that I didn't have time to focus on anything negative. The restaurants on the property were very good and relaxing to dine with that special someone. The Pointe of View patio was an awesome view of Phoenix with the fire pits blazing for more ambience. I enjoyed having a balcony to walk out to every morning to relax and get some fresh air. The hilly property was great for those who enjoy walking and getting a little work out in. We walked the whole time we stayed there and I found it quite enjoyable. I love this place and it will be my home away from home in Phoenix.

We spent Spring Break with my teenage daughter and her friend. Our suite had a family room with pull-out bed for the girls and my husband and I had a kingsize room with balcony. The bathroom was separated into the toilet/shower and vanity area. There was an entrance from the family room and the bedroom into the bathroom. The grounds have 8 different pools - we chose the adult only pool and the kids went to the bigger main pool. The grounds are awesome - especially if you like to walk for a workout - lots of hills!!! The restaurant at the top of the hill was fabulous!! Even if you just go to the Terrace Room for drinks, you can enjoy the view. If you are a Hilton Member, you get an awesome buffet breakfast for free every morning! Workout room did get a little crowded in the mornings, but there is also a great walking/hiking trail right next to the resort and tennis courts. It was also a short 20 minute drive from the airport.

Room Tip: We were on the hill near the workout room - it is a walk to the main building, but we didn't min...

We stayed for 2 nights April 13-15, during the only colder spell in Phoenix in the last month. The hotel was booked solid due to a onsite girls dance competition(more later), but we ended up in a nice 2 queen suite for our family of 4 up on the hillside (building 26). We enjoyed the room, it was clean and well maintained. the bathroom faucet had a slight drip - one mention to the front desk, they had a man on it within an hour- no more drip. Once we got oriented walking the property, it was simple to get around. The view was nice from our balcony, the pools were nice. The dance competition was a free bonus. We sat in one of the sessions for an hour or two-the kids danced their hearts out, and it was very cute on property- there were large packs of them running from the different buildings in costume through out the day.

Room Tip: Ask for either a room near the pools complex for younger swimmers who can't walk far, or go for...

This Hilton property is not only at the top of the Phoenix area but is top notch in all aspects....service, food and personnel are all awesome.....never a doubt that we will enjoy this property many times over for our family of all ages!

Room Tip: Ask for a room over the falls swimming pool, quiet and well located to water slide and pools.

Tapatio Cliffs Resort was better than we expected. We had booked one of their signatgure suites for our 4-day stay in Phoenix and were delighted at how spacious the rooms were, with a commanding view of the nearby mountains from the balcony. The staff were all very attentive, particularly the concierge, who cheerfully provided pre-printed directions to all the sights we were interested in visiting. Food-wise, the breakfast buffet package is well worth purchasing, abundantly set with anything you'd want for breakfast, and then some, and make sure to book a table at Different Pointe of View atop the mountain for one of the finest dinners you'll ever have anywhere. Recreationally, the resort boasts several pools, nearby hiking trails up the mountain, and one of the finest golf courses (Lookout Mountain) in the area. All in all, it was a splendid place to kick back; I'd stay there again in a minute.

I travel ALOT and this by far has been one of my favorite resorts! Our room was excellent, seperate bedroom with 2 beds and a living room area. There was 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of space. The scenery was amazing, the staff was excellent and the price of food was reasonable. Our kids loved the adventure of visiting all 8 pools! The only down side was the adult only pool area with swim up bar was deserted and not even open the hours that were posted. Highly recommend this resort to families that travel with more than the 'average 2 adults 2 kids' .
