“Food and service doesn't live up to their ads”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

We went early for dinner, around 4:30pm. There were very few diners at that time. The wait staff appeared unprepared, not sure of which table they were responsible for. It took forever to get just the salads we ordered. I had to remind our waiter that we wanted wine, butter, and lemon. My chicken entree was almost burned and the manager took it off our bill. We used to enjoy going there, but this is the 2nd poor experience we've had and they are now permanently off our list.

“Consistent with the chain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011

I ate here twice in a week, once because we have friends who were on leave and wanted American chain food and another time with a friend who needed to hit other stores in Desert Ridge mall.

In all, people in my parties had seven items off the menu. All the food was very good but not excellent. It is predictable, just like every other Macaroni Grill I have eaten at. If you are not familiar with it, it is chain restaurant pasta, consistent and good. Service was good, we got our food promptly and the way we ordered it. The waitresses in both cases were pleasant and knowledgeable. The pluses are the bread and the build your own pasta bowl. Portions are big, consider splitting or leftovers. It is in Desert Ridge Mall, which features poorly designed traffic flows. The road in was packed but the restaurant was not. Prices are reasonable and they give free crayons to the kids. Overall a four dot experience.
