Traveling to the Phoenix area often for 40 years, I know many are tired of the many variations and no shortage of restaurants specialing in Mexican dishes. While I would personally never turn down a Mexican meal, the Pita Jungle has some wonderful and authentic Lebonese inspired food. The meal portions were incredibly sized, lots of fresh fruit and veggies. It has it all, meat, vegan and vegetarian! Falfel, amongst many favorites was served in a large freshly made pita with authentic lebonese style pickles, lettuce and tahini dressing. There is a bite sized chicken breast on a bed of hummus of your choice, Plain, Fresh Red Pepper and Cilantro Jalepeno,, not so much spicy as flavorful Hummus! Giant plates of assorted cheese and fruit piled high. The salads were very generous. We each ordered a different soup to begin with. Each of them with a crunchy wedge of fresh made pita chip. I had gaspacho, it had pine nuts and was dilicious, I couldn't get enough, such a palate pleaser! There was a squash soup, and a lemon rice. All were wonderful. The menu is a diverse best of medeterrainian, greek, lebonse foods, with something for everyone. In general just a nice little place, suitable for lunch with the girls or family. We actually ate in Scottsdale, which was not listed here. Prices were medium, but lots of food. Staff was attentive, indoor and outdoor seating.
