“Eight swimming pools and lots of nooks for quiet conversation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

Live entertainment every weekend!! Spa is as large as a small hotel; large swimming pool surrounded by 30 palm trees. Lazy river and two gyms, top of the line Hawain fusion restaurant. Watched a hawk feeding her chicks from the hot tub in the spa. Ambroisia and flowers giving a sweet smell everywhere. Six star resort reminiscent of "top notch" upscale resorts. Most employees were very pleasant and responded to any reasonable request. Towels are limited and of dubious quality. Bathrooms have shower and bath tub which was wonderful. Every room is a suite. Best resort I have been to in quite a while.

Room Tip: Odd numbered rooms are quieter. Even numbered rooms open to the courtyard and live music and numbero...

This is a beautiful desert resort in North Phoenix which offers wonderful accommodations but also a glimpse of the life in Arizona. THe hotel is open and airy with evening cocktails and entertainment outside - the grounds are spacious with a fabulous lazy river pool and this is a great relaxing place to wile away some days enjoying leisure the way it should be.
We spent a day at the spa and had the most restful and relaxing day in their beautiful, private facility - lunch and refreshments by the private pool after massage and facials, steam room and jacuzzi.

The reception was extremely efficient, from the valet, through check-in. The room was big and convenient. Dinner at Roy's was outstanding. Our server was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and responsive. When I mentioned that I was a vegetarian she wipped out a menu and made recommendations which turned out to be spot-on. However, this is a big resort. By all means go there if this is what you want. But don't expect atmosphere and personal attention. Overall the resort lacks soul. Also, The towels in the bathroom were very old and clearly past there sell-by date. The gym is well equipped, though it only opens at 6h00, making it difficult for business people with early appointments to fit in a proper workout.

fabulous pools & lazy river, good restaurants such as Roys, a good Italian restaurant and a nice indoor/outdoor cafe. The resort was in perfect condition with wonderful service. The banquet buffet food was B rated since all of the warm food was cold and not the best. The resort is not within walking distance to anything and the shopping center has normal mall type chain stores which is not exciting. The room are very nice as is the fitness facility. Breakfast is very pricey.

My wife and I celebrated my birthday with a week of golf in Arizona, staying at the Marriott. We had a great experience and excellent service. The room was very modern and comfortable, included a refrigerator, safe small balcony where we enjoyed morning coffee. I played golf at the Wildfire golf course which is part of the property. The course was in great condition with a very nice practice area. Although this hotel is at the upper end cost wise, you just show up and they take care of the rest.

Had a wonderful 4 day. The amenities were first rate, comfortable room overlooking the lake and golf course at the quiet side of the resort. The only downside to our room location was the access to all of the pools. It was a long walk, even though there was a gate just accross the lake to the largest of the pools, the gate was an exit only gate, so you still had a long walk through hotel. Searched in vain for better access, but there was none. The property has four pools, but the spa pool was only available if you were having spa treatments. At the time we were there all pools were at capacity, very crowded, except for the spa pool. Since I love to swim, hang out at pool, this was a problem for me, but next time will book the room with better pool access.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking lake, quiet. If you like to frequent the pool, ask for room closer than lake room...

Beautiful poperty with everything you could want for a great vacation, beutiful pools, tennis courts, golf course and wonderful grounds and spa. Close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was very helpful, when I experienced an allergic reaction they were very helpful in changing out pillows and providing assistance with getting medical help.

Room Tip: If you are attending a conference you may want to request a room in one of hte wings closest to the...
