While I did not stay here, I did spend the past three days here for a conference. The event was fantastic and was underscored by the service of the staff here. The resort is well maintained and modern. Food was better than average, especially for a convention of this size. Great job!

Although I was on a business trip I felt like on vacation. Plenty of palm trees, huge pools, a lazy river, pool bars, an artificial lake, two 18 hole golf courses made my stay memorable. the rooms are lcean and spacious, the staff helpful and friendly. The JW Marriott is an excellent place to stay!

The resort was beautiful. The golf courses are awesome. The front-desk help is eager to do so. The rooms are nice. Pools were great, given the 100F temps. Roy's has a good happy hour.

Downside: compare $300/night to $100 Marriott Courtyard...I'd choose the Courtyard with free breakfast, coffee, upgrades, indoor pool and drive to a spa, restaurant, golf...

My family was here sept 28 to the 30th. While my husband was in conferences our two girls, 4 and 2, and Nana and Grandpa played in the lazy river.
The first day my two year old got hurt. Two men and a teen were playing frisbee. One toss got a away and hit my two year old in the face. I complained to the pool attendant. I asked if she wanted me to handle it or would she. She said she would.
I watched the three continue to play frisbee while pool attendants walked around. I heard one on the radio. She asked if they were still playing. He said yes. She said keep an eye on them. I watched him walk away.

I complained to the server that nothing was being done. She would have a manager talk to me. One did come up after they finally stopped playing frisbee. Said he was sorry and how another manger was watching them from a window and felt they were ok. He was sorry how my daughter got hurt and offered a smoothy. I said I wasn't interest in that . I just want them to stop. He came back with gummy bunnies. I guess that makes it all better?? We won't stop going in pool. Just know all the pool attendants in their red shirts are all show. I know everyone is there to have fun. But I thought they would actually say something when someone got hurt. I guess since it was only a two year old it was not enough to be bothered or step in.

My family recently stayed in Villas but they provide access to the JW's pool and resturants. The Pool area was amazing. Resembled a desert oasis. The hotel was gorgeous and everything was set up so nicely. The waitresses were very attentive and kept coming around to bring more drinks or food. Pitchers of free water were everywhere which is much needed in 100+ degree weather! Tons of room and chairs so we never felt crammed next to anyone. Phoenix was a pleasant surprise!

We went to the JW for a conference and stayed a few extra days- total of 6 days ( and wished is was a few more!) The service was wonderful- always someone asking if they could help you. Everything was clean and staff is very responsive. Pools, restaurants were excellent as well. I went over to the spa- again so helpful and true customer service. The spa is very nice as is the spa gym. Many good quality treadmills, Cybex, hand weights, bosu balls, kettle bells, rowing machine, and elliptical ( didn't use those). My friend that I traveled with is a bit more specific in the gym needs ( very fit) and was very pleased! When I made reservations for transport to airport they also offered to print my boarding passes. They have nice and reasonably priced shared ground transportation services with a company they work with…I think it was $24 and was a town car or SUV which is much better than the $60 for a cab ride!

Just returned from 4 days at he JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort. Terrific facilities and extraordinarily well-trained and helpful staff. Regular room felt deluxe with modern luxurious bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Immaculately clean.

Only thing that could have been better was to offer more aerobic equipment in the fitness room. But then maybe they were all in use because it was an annual meeting for integrative physicians who practice what we preach!

Room Tip: spa looks very nice and for extra fee one can access a quieter salt water pool and less crowded fitn...
