“Not fancy as shown in pictures, but a really nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

The whole area and the room are kinda outdated, not as modern and fancy as shown in pictures, but the hotel has everything you need and provides good space. Outdoor swimming pool is big though it might need more regular cleaning. We got cabana suite which is great and quiet. Will return if the booking gets a good deal. Our maid is nice. The location is a bit far from the city center, but in a commercial/industrial area next to shopping malls. Try Culver's Burger next door.

We were not pleased with this place at ALL! we just stayed here for a little over a week, ebtween September 4th to the 12th 2012 . The pool was not heated , someone urinated in one of the elevators & they would not clean it, front desk man said it was not his problem, its housekeepings, still smelled like urin the entire week, couldnt even breathe , it was so gross. The ice machine on my floor was broken the entire time there. The old man at the front desk was mean my last day there, I. had a personal call at the front desk, he didnt like the converstaion which was not bad at all so he grabbed the phone from me & hung it up on me. The wifi went out & we had NO internet access for 5 days! If You put a do not disturb sign on the door & they will just call your room anyway & disturb you!, & worst of all they charge alot just for local calls!!!! a total dissapointment! I'de NEVER stay there again! I've had better service at a motel 6

Room Tip: choose another hOTEL

The staff is tremendous - extremely accommodating, pleasant and concerned about me enjoying my stay. The location is ideal - across the street from Metro Center Mall, minutes from I-17 and with many eating choices very close (i.e. Olive Garden, Hibachi buffet, Culver's, Burger King, etc.). The GOOD: the rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable; sheets clean. There was a fridge and microwave (on top of what used to be a vanity) in the room. The iron and ironing board were cleverly tucked away behind a shutter door. The restaurant downstairs has good food at reasonable prices, with daily specials. There is a fitness center with 2 treadmills, an elliptical and a weight bench. The pool area is very spacious (pool goes from about 4 feet to 8.5 feet). The grounds are beautiful - lots of open space and nicely designed. The hotel is designed such that, on each floor, you can look down to the lobby. The NOT SO GOOD: the jacuzzi definitely needs updating - the jets almost shoot water out of it. There is also a damp, musty smell to the jacuzzi. There is the same damp, musty smell in the fitness center. Unlike some other hotels, they do not provide you with complimentary "anything-you-forgot." There is a vending machine that has razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. but it is a bit pricey. Although there is free wi-fi in the room it is quite slow - you can do other things while waiting for pages to load (primarily those with any sort of pictures). Overall, an excellent stay. The "not so good" things were certainly not deal breakers, and did not change my opinion - this hotel is well worth the money.

We were in town for a ministry conference held at the hotel. Had stayed there when it was formerly Four Points by Sheraton. Though the standard rooms can use a bit of updating, the rooms were clean and housekeeping did a good job each day. My cabana room did appear to have been updated and I loved being near the pool. We appreciated the breakfast buffet that was included with our room package. The made to order eggs with potatoes and bacon were tasty and good quality. Our morning hostess in the restaurant was a jewel; we have had the pleasure of seeing her on multiple visits. She is pleasant, attentive and has wonderfully warm personality. The front desk staff was equally pleasant and attentive to our needs when special issues arose during our visit. Had chance to meet one of the managers (forgot her name, but not her smile), she took the time to greet us and to inquire about the specifics of our stay. She appears to be a great asset for the hotel and cares very much about her staff. Will definitely stay again on future visits to phoenix area.

Room Tip: The cabana rooms near the pool are more updated. Offer close access to pool.

Stayed there December 2011 to go to Glendale Glitters. It was fairly close and a good price. Decent rooms and soft bed. Drinks in the bar are expensive but over pretty good. Resteraunts within walking distance. Over all will stay there again.

Had a pleasant three night stay here. Spent a day at the pool, only three other guests were there. Traveled to Sedona which is only a little over an hour away. Hiked Piestewa in North Phoenix and traveled to Scottsdale, which is about 20 minutes from Phoenix. We had nice room overlooking the pool, breakfast buffet every morning and apps at Happy Hour.

Room Tip: Rooms by the pool have a little terrace to sit out on. I believe they are called the Cabana rooms

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay here. It seems you really were able to experience all of which Arizona has to offer from the beauty in Sedona, relaxation by the pool in Phoenix and the tourist attractions and shopping in Scottsdale.

We hope to have you both stay with us again!
