Description: Chef Justin Beckett brings together what matters to him most: family, friends and honest, incredible food. With considerable help from his partners and longtime friends Scott and Katie Stephens and his wife Michelle, Beckett has created an irresistible hangout for his discerning Arcadia/Biltmore neighbors, people who expect comfort and sophistication in equal measure and get it here. The same grounded approach is evident on the menu, which emphasizes seasonal American cooking in dishes such as creamy grits and spicy andouille sausage with mustard jus, wood-fired mussels with shallot-fennel broth, short ribs with mashed potatoes, and rock shrimp with smoked corn & butternut squash enchiladas. Factor in the inviting bar, roomy patio and community table, and it gets even easier to follow the Beckett's Table mandate: Come Together.

“Expected more”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

I had heard about this resturant, so we were excited to try it with friends. Maybe because we snt during resturant week, but we were very disappointed in the food. It was difficult to talk as it was very noisy. We will not go back

“Fabulous visit ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Met relatives here for dinner. The tables are about 4 feet apart, plenty of room. Atmosphere was very nice, good lighting, open kitchen. Service was excellent, from hostess to wait staff. All of us agreed the food was wonderful. I had the ribs and the sauce with it made it a perfect blend. The vegetables with it were so good I'll probably order them when we go back. It did get loud with everyone talking, full house. There are a couple options to eat outside, facing Indian School or the East side of the building. Small parking lot. Best bet might be to park in the strip mall lot on the west side.

“Original & Fantastic Appetizer & Dessert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

The restaurant has good ambiance. There is a section of outdoor seating on two sides of the restaurant. I requested the side not facing the street and was told "it is closed." Really!? Whatever happened to making your customer happy. I have never understood why a section should be closed and a customer turned down when requested. The staff would have only had to walk a few more feet from where I sat to the "closed" table and the net result is the same-one table used and needing to be cleaned/reset. I sat on outside in the section facing the street and enjoyed the meal despite not getting the table requested.

I had the deep fried deviled eggs, short ribs, and chocolate dipped bacon s'mores. The deep fried deviled eggs were fantastic! Having the hot sauce aioli and pickled fresno transformed a good dish into perfection. The short ribs were good, but nothing extraordinary or unique. The portion size was filling and appeared smaller than it really was, although a little more food would have been nice (this is a trend in most all restaurants these days). Dessert is what made this experience over the top. The chocolate dipped bacon s'mores were the best part of the meal. Caramel, housemade marshmallow, homemade whipped peanut butter and graham cracker. The bacon dipped in chocolate by itself is wonderful, but combines with everything else was fantastic.

Even if you do not go for an entree, definitely stop by for an appetizer and dessert!

“Fancy Family Dining!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

This place was wonderful! I've never had such a friendly greeting at a restaurant before - they really do treat you like you're family! Our server was so warm and friendly and helpful. The decor and atmosphere were nice. The food was excellent! Comfort food with a trendy twist - we had a difficult time deciding what to order. Every course came out quickly, the ingredients were fresh, and everything we had was delicious! The pecan-fig pie though... probably one of the absolute best things I've ever tasted in my life. I practically had to be rolled out of the restaurant, but it was worth it. I wish this place wasn't so far away, I'd eat here every week!
