“Fantastic find for a "foodie" looking for a health inspired menu!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We love the open kitchen concept and fresh vegetable stations preparing our lunch. It was so hard to select from the varied menu because everything sounded soooo good. We were very happy that we stumbled upon this restaurant and we were attracted to it by the name. Using locally produced ingredients with an emphasis on organic is very important to us. We also very impressed with the service and management team especially a young man named Jacob who gave us a little history of the concept. We highly recommend True Food.

“Unique Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

My husband and I visited both the Biltmore and Scottsdale locations so we got a sense of the food while visiting the Phoenix area. We wandered upon the Biltmore location trying to find a place to eat for lunch not knowing anything about the restaurant before dining there. I had no idea that the Dr. Weil who speaks about nutrition also helped create this restaurant concept.
Pros:
-The restaurant focuses on healthy food using better ingredients. It's sometimes difficult to find healthy food while dining out but this restaurant manages to focus on it and does a pretty good job
- Both restaurants were clean with an open kitchen. In fact, at the Biltmore location the employees were making pasta out in the open which was nice to see. However, the outdoor seating at the Scottsdale location was more relaxing and a better option if you are trying to choose between the two locations
- The food was fresh, flavorful, seasonal, and different from most casual restaurants. For example, with the turkey burger you had the choice of side items and one was a sweet potato hash that was very good. We also ordered the tuna sliders that tasted fresh, a smoothie drink, a spicyThai soup that good but very spicy, and the squash spaghetti casserole that was good but did not live up to the reviews online
- The service was good at both restaurants
- They have a brunch, lunch, dinner, and dessert menu. I wanted to go back to try the brunch menu because several items looked appealing on it
Cons:
- It's a little more expensive than other casual restaurants but you are also paying for the unique, seasonal ingredients. I wouldn't let that deter you from trying it.
-I wished they had more locations

“This food will make you feel so good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

This is an awesome restaurant for any foodie. We loved the open kitchen. When we arrived around 7pm on a Friday we were told there was a 25-30 min wait but were seated within 5 minutes. This location is in the Biltmore shopping center, so there is plenty to do if you have to wait a while. However the food is definitely worth the wait. We ordered the sea bass and bison burger. The sea bass was delicious, bison burger was so tender. For desert we shared the olive oil cake and it was good. The nice part is that the food that is prepared here has been grown locally and organic. The kale aid drink was refreshing as well. This is food that will heal you from the inside out, it's that good for your body & soul!

“Best hummus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

I love True Foods. They have the best hummus! The menu is always changing, so you will never get bored. However if you go looking for that one dish that you loved and it is gone that is disappointing!
