“Nice basketball stadium”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

The concourse was spacious, and clean, the staff was welcoming and seats not to badly priced. the Golden Granny cheer squad was funny and the promotions and prizes plentiful. Sadly not much can be said for the product on the court, but hey that's part of the game.

“Went to see Eric Clapton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Took my guitarist son to see "slow hand" in Phoenix. Actually bought tix 4 months early and front row stuff was all gone. Best available was slightly behind the stage at the 3rd level. We had a blast, sound was still great. We were fortunate that they had some big screens that were right in front of us, felt like front row. Band gets 5 stars. Restrooms perfectly clean. Lots of kiosks for junk food. Mild complaint: how about a great sit down restaurant? All in all a great venue I thought.

“Eric Clapton Concert Mar. 14, 2013”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

This is not a good venue for a concert. Opening act the Wallflowers could not be heard, could not even tell what song they were playing. Sound was marginally better for Clapton, but still very muddy. It's an old arena, and I think the big fans in the ceiling are extremely noisy. It was hot in the building. Don't sit in the second level, it's steep and the seats are not good. I come from a town with a great arena with good sound, so this was a huge disappointment in my visit to Phoenix. I've seen Clapton a number of times, and the sound has always been first rate. This was an expensive lesson to learn.

“Less than Average Arena”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

For sports, it is "just OK" (unless you're sitting in the first 10 rows).

Beware of the upper level: the pitch is very steep, the railings along the edge are low (don't EVER sit up there with young children) and the rows where the stadium turns has a hole (literally) that one can fall into and seriously hurt themselves.

For concerts, the acoustics are awful. The sounds bounces all over the place - this was NOT designed for sound. Don't waste your money to see a concert.
