“Not your ordinary library from an architectural perspective”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

This library has a unique architectural design that makes it feel more like a visit to a science fiction/high tech future place.

The staff is very knowledgable and eager to assist. Multiple floors also have special events and art exhibits. There is also a library friends store on the main level.

One of the few places in central phoenix where you can go up on a high floor level and enjoy the views of downtown.

“Glass house beauty”

Lovely building, accessible parking and very open feel due to all the glass. A great place for contemplation and reading.

“One of the Best Things in Phoenix; Visited my first time here and keep returning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

The building itself is a landmark which architecture enthusiasts will enjoy. I especially get a kick
out of riding up to the top floor on the glass elevators for an amazing view of the city facing North. On summer solstice, visit to see the entire periphery of the interior light up like a sun dial.
Will Bruder follows a different drummer, perhaps the music of the spheres. I think this is a genius work. Plus the library has an excellent business center, children's room, gallery, and book and film collection. As a visual artist and art teacher, I rely heavily on their Art books for research.
Close to Japanese Friendship Garden and Irish Cultural Center, plus the downtown Art district with great local art galleries and eateries. On the First Friday of each month all the art venues
are open and free. Hop the culture bus at Burton Barr and check it out !

“Architectural Gem of a Library”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Will Bruder designed this library, and it gets a lot of use from community members who have embraced it as their own. In addition, it is a "must-see" for lovers of architecture. Get inside and explore. If you're in Phoenix during the summer solstice, you can experience how the sun lights up the interior columns.
