“beautiful piece of desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Went to Papago Park for the Hole in the Rock and it was absolutely worth it! The Park is a beautiful piece of desert, there's a nice pond-fishing-site as well which makes the place even more beuatiful. the zoo is just around the corner so if you planned to go there anyway, go ahead and walk around the park afterwards.

“Beautiful sunset!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

The views were beautiful, especially at sunset. I loved the lakes throughout the park. Lots of wonderful photo opportunities and a good workout.

“Nice park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Lots of amenities. Cute lakes, and one had a little island in it with a picnic area. Hole in the Rock was cool and had a beautiful view. If you need directions to the Hole in the Rock, I recommend asking at either t he zoo or desert botanical gardens (both located in Papago Park).

“Pretty, but heavily worn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

The pond and palm trees are very pretty -- one of the few areas in the city where you can find any water. Saw a wedding party taking pictures there. The hill is easy to climb and the eye in the hill affords a great view of the city, especially at sunset, but it has been worn down over the years from overuse and many visitors do not treat it with respect. The 'eye' itself has seen better days.

“Excellent public golf”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Great 18-hole golf course at reasonable rates all year long.
Easy, close-to-the-city access. Hosted LPGA event a couple of years ago.
