“Desert Hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

Small park but lots of interesting rock formations and an unbelievable number of jackrabbits. The Hole-in-The-Rock is worth the short climb.

“Free and Picnic area!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Great Picnic area - def not a 15 min hike. Just a brisk walk from the parking lot up to the hole. There is a lot of loose rock - so I would def take my time going up. The view is nice. There are plenty of picnic seatings in the area. It would be a great location to have lunch or a small get together. Lots of tourist. There is a "fish pond" near by and adjacent to the Phoenix Zoo. Def worth a stop for a stretch. Would not consider it a hike.

:-)

“Great hike in the middle of suburbia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This was a great hike. Being from NC this is a very different hike and scenery. Seeing cactus and essentially walking through a dessert type environment, but seeing highways, golf course right there was somewhat comforting.

“Lovely vistas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Great place to take in the scenery and get a great hike or biking in for some great exercise. We had a perfect day to visit there as the temps were just right in the mid-70's.
