“"interesting" area, but good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

The hotel staff provided great service though not very talkative, The area was interesting, when we woke up in the morning to the unfolding scene, it didn't seem the safest area, but nonetheless close to the city area.

nice 2-story motel, clean rooms - recently remodeled, quiet, accomodating, affordable, would stay again, club-restaurant-bar around the corner, walking distance to downtown, close to the 10 freeway without the freeway noise

This was rated 4 1/2 stars on Trip Advisor. Sketchy place in sketchy neighborhood. We wanted to leave as soon as we drove in. We had booked 2 nights based on the reviews and didn't want to stay at all. They then offered us a room on the 1st floor with no security that had thugs smoking in front of the door. Got a new room within the secure space but then noticed the mattress was wrapped in plastic so you got that hospitally feel. Not comfortable...stressful. Skip this place.

We stayed here because we were attending a show downtown, and did not want to drive back to the burbs that night. The place is plain, but clean, and we felt secure. The staff is quite friendly. The price was excellent. We will stay again!

The owner was very helpful and friendly. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, quiet, and conveniently located near downtown Phoenix. It was a good place to find at a very reasonable price, and it shows how useful tripadvisor can be!

Very nice room, quiet, and very clean. Liked the locked front door after hours. Bed and pillows were comfortable and large closet space. Will definitely stay again. Very nice hotel for the price. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Room Tip: We like the second floor.

Great price, close enough to the convention center to walk. Clean room, well maintained. Only wish I had an in room coffee pot, but there was coffee in the lobby around 7am. If walking alone, was a little nervous in the neighborhood if you go in the direction towards McDonalds. Walking in the direction toward downtown itself didn't seem bad.
