We all know it is an expensive place to stay, so I will not get into that. Very nice. There was some construction while I was there. The room I was in was probably due for some paint and a good scrubbing. Conference rooms were decent. The catered food was top notch.

If you are an architecture buff, or love a historical hotel, highly recommend this place! It has exceptionally well preserved, historically accurate decor and furnishings. It was not designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, he consulted on it, but there is evidence of his influence and design everywhere including gorgeous stained glass in lobby. Really enjoyed eating at Frank & Albert's (casual resturant, specializing in American Comfort Food). Loved the hotel grounds, pool, landscaping. Staff are very friendly. Also love that every American president has stayed here (well maybe except Obama, they did not have his photo on the wall with everyone else's). George Bush stayed here in 2004 along with 200 policemen. The McCain/ Palin campaign had their final party here in 2008, and McCain conceded on the lawn. Loads of history here... just an amazing place worth checking out.

I wanted to love this beautiful iconic hotel that we had visited many years earlier but we couldn't. We rented a large Catalina Villa which had a series of problems including a front door that was very difficult to open, a bedroom phone that didn't work, the bedroom and living room televisions didn't work and the latch on the patio screen door was broken. Additionally, the bathroom toiletries came in tiny bottles. The breakfast buffet, while being very reasonably priced, is mediocre with a very limited selection. The management was exceedingly nice and fair when I brought the litany of complaints to their attention. They offered to move us on our third day but my wife had unpacked so we didn't move.
The grounds are still beautiful and the service was very good. It is a lovely property but our room was desperately in need of renovation. Also, when we played tennis no towels or water were offered which is disappointing for a supposedly upscale resort.

Stayed here for 2 weeks and loved it despite the first week of bad weather. The thing that made it for us was the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Having stayed in hotels all over Europe, Asia & Australia we honestly believe that this was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had.
Although there were minor gripes about air conditioning & lack of consistency of housekeeping, overall this was a fabulous experience whivh underlined the whole difference between the UK and American service industries.

We stayed in the Ocitilla wing and would particularly single out Danny, Rob and all the Club staff for thanks & praise - they are a credit to the hotel. We alo loved the bar and restaurant staff in both Wrights bar & Frank and Alberts and never had a bad experience in 14 nights, which in our experience is most unusual! The high standards of service were maintained by all other staff we met from cleaners to the drivers of the courtesy bus & front of house staff- everyone was a credit to th Biltmore.

The only negative comments I have is that the menu never changes so if you are staying for 2 weeks as we were, you have eaten your way round the menu! A bit more variety in menus & more vegetables would have been appreciated but this is a minor gripe in an otherwise excellent experience.

The two hour historic tour of the hotel was most informative and enjoyable and made mrore special by Rob's entertaining and informative anecdotes. ThIs added to our appreciation of the genius of Frank Lloyd Wright 's stunning architecture..

We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wants to go to Pheonix and experience American hospitality.

Room Tip: Ocitilla rooms have a garden

We choose this hotel for the Phoenix Arizona Rock and Roll Marathon. The grounds were beautiful and we truly enjoyed the scenery. The 3 ft heated kids pool in the main pool was perfect for my 5 year old. We could have spent all day everyday at the pool. While the general atmosphere is lovely, there were a few hiccups. The hotel did not provide shuttle service to the race, even though they advertised as a recommended hotel for the race. The night we arrived we upgraded to the Ocatilla suite only to discover the room was covered in fruit flies. The front desk immediately moved us to another room. When we arrived in the next room, we discovered more fruit flies. This room only had about 5 or 6, where the other room they were everywhere. My daughter tried to catch one that was on the bed, and when I looked closer to examine what she was catching I noticed it wasn't a fruit fly but a flea. They said they do allow pets in these rooms, so it's possible the flea came from a previous guests animal. We don't any pets and this really freaked us out. The front desk moved us again to another room, one of the refurbished rooms in the Valley Wing and we were very pleased. No bugs, but also no bathtub either. A note a on the room service. The food was fast and the server extremely customer service oriented, but the food was not great. I like salt, but the chicken soup had so much we couldn't even eat it. Beautiful hotel, but for the price they need to handle the bug problem.

Room was phenomenal. The history is very cool with all the Frank Lloyd Wright memorabilia and stories. The 2nd annual Arizona Concours held in the back courtyards of the hotel was very well done. The hotel and Concours staffs did an amazing job and should be very proud.
