The AZ Biltmore is an iconic property to stay while in the Valley. I stayed there over 30 years ago and it was one of the best places I ever stayed. It has not hardly changed a day since.
The staff at the Biltmore is beyond reproach. The service and hospitality they provide is as good as anywhere. From their valets, front desk, bartend and other wait staff, they make their guests feel special.
Driving into the property you pass the homes and villas on and adjacent to the property, past the iconic and challenging golf course to reach the hotel. Upon entering the hotel you enter the distinct decor of the lobby. Upon entering the individual rooms, however, you step back into the 1980's. While the television on the wall is a flat panel, and the bedding is now a duvet cover instead of bedspread, the window unit for air conditioning and the traditional bathtub gives the age away. The window and window frame looked much older.
The bed was very comfortable and the room service breakfast was very good. Not all the channels on the television worked, including local channels. We weren't there for the hotel, but rather a reunion held on property, so this wasn't a major concern for us.
Overall, the Arizona Biltmore is a good place to stay, if only to say you stayed there. The service and staff will be excellent, just don't expect the rooms to be the best you have ever stayed.
