We hardly travelled any distance at all. After lift off we hovered around then sailed slowly acoss the highway before hovering around some more and landing again. To drive from landing site to take off site would not have taken more than 10 mins. I know the wind is not in their control but other balloons seemed to find the currents with more success
The adverts and narration tis all about seeing desert animals. Don't expect any. Other than seeing the coyote waiting for the scraps from breakfast which you are encouraged to leave for them (I found that really odd - leaveing coyote the remains of your chocolate croissant ???) we did not see anything - why would you so close to the highway anyway.
Uncomfortable - 12 passengers are put in 4 corner compartments so you cant move around and when they set off the burners it is very very hot!!!
An earlier reviewer wrote about Mike the Captain (his last name is England) being a little bored by the whole experience and I second that - he comes across as a bit condesending and only livened up after we had a much-rougher-than-expected landing and that was because he was making guilty excuses about a sudden draft of wind dragging us 30ft while the ground crew hung on for dear life. When he mentioned that we could leave a gratuity on the tab I nearly left him for the coyotes and saved the croissant.
So this is a been there done that experience I will not be doing again
