Most tours of state capitol buildings are pretty dreary, but this one was a real treat. I was with a group of about 12, and the guide made it very entertaining. I learned a lot about Arizona (and New Mexico) history. There are a number of historical curiosities in this building that were explained and I found it all pretty educational. The murals on the walls were just beautiful. Each one of them had some sort of significance to Arizona heritage and were actually used as "advertising" to get people to settle there. I also found the exhibit re: the USS Arizona interesting too. The gift shop has some pretty cool mementos for sale too along with the standard tourist trap kind of items. So I would recommend this tour for the entire family as well as history buffs.
