“Great History lesson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Loved the museum. We went to experience the 100th anniversary of AZ. The history was enjoyable. Learned a lot, but I would have liked to stay longer.

“A Must vor Arizona Visitors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

You can visit all 4 floors of the old Capitol.
You can walk and sit where the state senators sat and you can enter the room of the representives.
There is also a big room with items from the USS Arizona, which was sunk at the attack on pearl harbor.
It is very well worth a visit.
Don't miss the park in front of the capitol. There are many figures and memoribles of Arizona important people

“It's the Old Capitol”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Which is good, because the new one isn't nearly so interesting. Frank Lloyd Wright designed a new capitol and there is a marvelous model of it inside this museum, but the working capitol is just three pretty basic office buildings set around the museum. If you "collect" state capitols I can recommend this one and you can pretty much skip the "real" one; it's much more interesting. The self-guided tour is very good, but like most capitols it takes about two hours.

Great for Arizona residents; but visitors from out of state have all enjoyed it. The price is right; FREE!

“Great history of Arizona, including centennial display.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

The displays on all four floors of the State Capitol building were very impressive. We especially found the display on the USS Arizona to be very moving. The serving pieces from the USS Arizona were magnificent.
