“Great adventure with someone else at the wheel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012 via mobile

We just took the full day tour of Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Charlie was our guide and he was excellent. He was very informative and showed us the best spots on our 12 hour tour. There is no way we would of made it all the way to the Grand Canyon from Scottsdale on our own. Both places were spectacular. Will have to go back and spend more time in Sedona. Would of skipped the stop at the trading post. Not much there except souvenirs, but realize that everyone needs arrest stop along the way. So Glad we did this.

“Amazing Day Trip to Sedona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

We booked this tour through 360 Adventure Tours and what a amazing day this was. We were picked up by 'Montana' (DeTours) and he was such a great tour guide. We went to visit Montezuma's Castle (Ancient Indian Ruins) on the way to Sedona. We arrived in Sedona and were taken to all the hot tourist spots. We ate at Wildflower cafe which is the best place for the most delicious sandwiches & soups. The tour included 2.5 hours by yourself in the small town of Sedona so i would actually suggest booking in a 50 minute Jeep Tour separately though Pink Jeep tours or similiar. The tour van was comfy & nice size for a group of 10.

Rachel, we are thrilled to hear that you had a great time. Sedona really is a great little town that has so much beauty to offer. If you are ever back in Arizona, please try one of our other tours and see the other wonders that lie within Arizona

“Outstanding! Do the Apache trail! Grand Canyon and Sedona day trip also Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Yes, the Grand Canyon and Sedona combo day trip is awesome but you MUST do the Apache trail tour as well if you want to get a feel for the Phoenix area. I really wanted to see Cacti and desert region and this was the tour for it. It is truly beautiful and very interesting. There are also stops in a couple of cool towns Tortilla Flat and a mining town recreation. Jay was our guide. He was the coolest (a Vietnam vet helicopter pilot), He knew his stuff and was really fun to be around. Jay was also trustworthy and tried to do everything to help you enjoy your day.

The Grand Canyon Sedona combo day tour seems long (about 12 hours) but you don't feel that way when you are on it. I had Memo as our guide. He made the entire trip really fun and relaxed. Although some people may find that not much time is spent in either Sedona or the Grand Canyon I felt like I got to see everything I wanted. Obviously both places could take days of exploring but if you want to get the highlights this is a fun and affordable way to do it.

I you are worried about washroom stops along the way, I found our guide gave us warnings when to make sure to visit the restroom and when the next rest stop was going to be. They also provided bottled water and told us where to eat and when a snack stop would be coming.
The van was comfy and the driving was smooth. If you wanna take a nap while en route do it in between Phoenix and Sedona or Sedona to Grand Canyon but right after the Grand Canyon the Scenery is not to be missed so don’t fall asleep!!

Thank you for choosing Detours to be a part of your Arizona experience and letting us show you the best touring in the Southwest. It was a true pleasure having you as our guest and for that we thank you. We were especially pleased to hear the you had the time to take two of our tours. Next time you are in Arizona you should join us on our Tombstone tour. On this tour you will spend the day in the town that is too tough to die and get a feel for the old western days, visiting the OK Corral and Big Nose Kate's Saloon. Also on this trip you can explore a working mission that was built in 1962 and remains as one of the best preserved Spanish settlements. We hope to have the pleasure of having you on one of our tours in the future and thank you again for the kind words that you had to share.

“Great trip to Sedona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Tour was to Sedona and also included other stops along the way (Jerome, Oak Valley, Montezuma Castle). The van only holds 10 people and there were five on our tour, making it a much more intimate experience than a typical motorcoach tour. Seats were leather captain chairs and very comfortable. Our driver was very knowledgable of the area and let us decide what we wanted to see and how long to spend at each stop. I would definetly recommend this tour and I plan on using this company for a Grand Canyon tour the next time I'm in the area!
