“Best Bang for my Buck!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2011

This hotel was located in an awesome location and really provided wonderful value for a week's stay! Although our meetings ran late and we got back to our hotels late, the women in our team felt safe getting around at night. They had a great staff especially new front desk gal named Annette. Thank you for all your recommendations, they were a hit with the rest of the crew! Couldn't have asked for better customer service, she anticipated our needs and delivered beyond our expectations! Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

Clean, Friendly, Great Location, Great Value!!! I have been staying here for a few weeks and I think this place is a great deal. The other people who wrote negative reviews are persnicketty drama queens! The location is great--it is located in a quiet residential area with lots of sidewalks and a nice playground and park nearby. It is close to several grocery stores, pharmacies, and a very nice shopping center with tons of great restaurants. The place is extremely clean, and much nicer than most budget hotel chains like motel 6 or Super 8. It is great to have a kitchen in which to cook in order to save money. They do wash everything in the room after every customer checks out--this means they even wash the pillows and the bedspreads and the shower curtains--I saw them doing it! And this is reassuring in a time when bedbugs are such a problem. The staff has been very friendly and extrememly helpful. They have gotten me a local bus map, they have recommended restaurants and attractions, and just been really nice. I think this is the best value place location in the city because it is in such a nice, and safe area. Some of the other branches are downtown near a highway, or in a seedier neighborhood. It is a little further out from many attactions, but if you have a rental car, it is worth the drive. There are very few bus lines out here, so dont' plan on relying on the public transit system out here unless you want to walk for miles and miles to the next stop. My only complaint is that the water in the shower could be hotter. I wish they would turn up the water heater! I think this place is a great deal as it is so cheap, and so clean--I have travelled to over 25 countries around the world, and this is one of the nicest budget hotels i have seen. The other complainers need to get over it! It is worth the savings, even if you do have to go a block and buy a pack of toilet paper. Having a full fridge and microwave is a luxury, and great to make breakfast, and you can get the TP while you are shopping for other items. It is like a little studio apartment, and a home away from home.

The appeal to this place of course was price. However, as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. The front desk/security guard/house keeper named TJ told me up check in that my room was not ready and asked me to "run some errands" and come back in 45 minutes. I thought this alittle odd but I ran some errands and came back later. 45 minutes later, he still did not have my room ready. So I told him that I would come back tomorrow morning bright and early. I get into my room and the whole place is taken apart but it looked like someone cleaned up. I was so tired that I put the room together myself and went to bed. 11am that same day, there's a knock on my door and it's TJ, he came to clean the room! You've gotta be kidding me! This place is the WORST place to stay. It's not clean, the service is poor and security is a joke. The side entrance looks like it has a key card reader, but it's not there. The only reason I didn't complain on my check out sheet is because I am afraid that if they read it, I would not get my deposit back. Yes, I am afraid of retribution, that's how bad this place is. DO NOT STAY AT THIS SO CALLED HOTEL!!!

Beds are hard and uncomfortable. Indoors are filthy and trash outside always overflowing. New lady at front desk (Annette) is very rude and unfriendly! Quite frankly, would rather sleep in my car then deal with her again!

After talking with a friend who had stayed at several Value Place Hotels in other states, I saw that Peoria had it's own VP and my family and I decided to stay for a week. WOW I was soo pleased with the staff and overall great value the hotel has to offer. We had a hard time finsing the place at first but after a quick call Tori ( Property Mgr) gave us the quick route and we checked in. Only wish we could have stayed longer!! We will be back and I can just say ..."get away from the main drag of Peoria and stay here for less!!".
