“Exceeded my expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

I came for their basic room but moved up to fireplace and 2 person spa room and glad i did. Clean, big, many amenities and quiet. Thought two adjoining rooms were empty till next morning so nice soundproofing! Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Perfect location, barely on edge of town with lots of nice pine around. Had a little temp. vehicle trouble but I could walk down to main road at center of town with pick of restaurants. Had great time!

The drive up to Payson is beautiful, and even though the town is not very enticing, this property is delightful. We are on an "unchained" trip and only want to stay in privately owned places. This motel is one of the reasons why. It is immaculate and very comfortable. Our room had a patio on the side away from the parking lot, which provided a wonderful place to sit and watch the sky turn from day to night. It is within walking distance of some good places to eat. Motel 6? You can keep it. I will take a place like Majestic Mountain any day.

Highly recommended if you ever find yourself in Payson.

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room, so you can have a patio. And you might want to request a room further f...

Even though this little gem has aged, it has been expanded and maintained in a lovely and high quality way. Staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. Rooms are great, I always book the deluxe with spa tub and fireplace, only a few bucks extra. Tons of room!
There are restaurants next door in both directions, a steak house and a family style cafe, both are good.
The rooms toward the back are further from the busy highway and much quieter, good sleep quality.
Overall, the new ownership seems to be a great thing!

Our family snow trip was interrupted by a car breakdown. We were forced to stay the night until the car was repaired. The Majestic Mountain Inn was recommended by the emergency responders. I believe the price was right for a clean comfortable room. We had a DVD player, mini-frig and breakfast included. What was more important was how well we were treated by EVERYONE on the staff. Our ruined trip to the snow was made a better because everyone treated out problem like their own. I felt like I had family trying to help me out of a jam.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back side are quieter. Good restaurant just next door. We walked over with the kids i...

This is the facility you are always looking for but never seem to find. Well, it is in the beautiful town of Payson, Arizona. The Majestic Mountain Inn is everything it states on it's website and more. I travel frequently for business and pleasure, and I can definitely say that in all my years of travel, this is the finest, most equipped, and most friendly of all travel accomodations, including exotic spots throughout the world. Stay here -- You will enjoy it and never regret a moment. You will be doing the Happy Dance about this Inn.

We wanted a weekend getaway and fell in love with Majestic Mountain Inn...will definitely be going back! Absolutely beautiful and great staff!!! Cozy, great location, for a small romantic getaway. We were there in January and are going back again in April. Was not expecting a bottle of champagne or sparkling cider nor were we expecting breakfast on the weekends, which were included. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

My spouse & I stayed here after several busy days on the road. It was late February, 30 degrees outside and snow on the ground from recent storm. We turned on the fireplace, opened a bottle of wine, ordered a pizza and never left the room. It was so cozy and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The property is older but they do a pretty good job with it. Only criticism would be the sloppy red paint job from walls onto ceiling, and baseboards in dire need of cleaning or replacement.
