“Deserves more than just 5 stars!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

This restaurant has become our local favorite for an excellent meal with exceptional service combined with a fabulous view! This latest dining experience was no exception - we shared an appetizer of duck confit with a to-die-for salad, a double pork chop and sides of shrimp sticky rice and lobster udon noodles! The magical blend of cuisines and flavors are incredible! This experience is the rule, not the exception - every dining experience there has more than exceeded expectations.

With the view, that night we watched a monsoon storm roll in with an incredible lightening display which only enhanced the meal.

It's somewhat of a splurge, but definitely worth it! Consider it for showing off to visiting friends, a romantic evening out or for just one of the best damn meals you've had in a long time.

“Great chef Russell”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

This was our first visit. We requested a tasting menu and chef Russell was thrilled to oblige. Chef Russell did a great job with the courses introducing us to the offerings. Next time we will call a week or so in advance to give chef Russell time to prepare a more unique experience for us. We are looking forward to this next occasion. The service was also refined. We had a young waiter. At first we were concerned simply because of the youth of the waiter. We figured maybe because we were under dressed and it was our first visit we were given the "second string staff". If this young man was the second string staff he should not be. He had a surprisingly refined disposition enhancing the experience. The only disappointment was the dessert. Although the pastry chef did seem excited to offer her creation it did not meet expectations. Requesting a tasting menu is asking the chef to go above and beyond, giving him an opportunity to show his true abilities. If you do request this extra effort please remember to show gratitude to the chef.

“5 star restaurant to with 5 star resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

We had a great meal here with a view of the mountains. I got the prix fix menu and my wife got the soft shell crab. The salads were excellent. The steak and mashed potatoes were very good as was the soft shell crab. Ginger creme brulle was excellent. The chef served us oysters rockefeller for free appetizers and fresh chocolate chip cookies as an ending.

“Beau knows....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

Through a friend of mine we arranged a tasting menu at Beau MacMillan's Elements and it was truly one of the top three meals I have ever eaten. The pre-dinner cocktails were a perfect start and from the moment we sat down until the final fork was placed on the table in defeat, the experience was exceptional. The wait staff and Norbert (the sommelier) were informative and friendly, and the quality and presentation of the food was out of this world. Beau prepared (and indeed personally served!) some of the 7 great courses, my personal highlights being an exceptional spanish octopus salad (southwest style with chilis and chipotle), his "BLT" (impossible to describe without seeing a menu) but a taste sensation, a skirt steak with hatch chillis, Chilean sea bass in a yellow curry, lamb lollipops and a selection of 4 deserts! Beau stopped by several times and as well as being an amazing chef, he is a great guy. Highly recommend eating here and if possible, get a table by the window at sunset for the full experience!
