“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

My husband, mother, 2-year-old and I stayed in a Mountain Suite. I had a meeting in Phoenix but preferred this resort because of tripadvisor. The Suite had an extra large dining room, fireplace and sofa with two separate bedrooms with amazing views. We made a fire each of the three nights and loved it as well as room service! The food was exceptional as was each of the staff. Highly recommended to all! In case you are wondering about the toddler.... he had lots of room to run around as we had 2000 feet of space but the front door does not lock so we had to keep an eye on him so he did not run down the mountain :) But this should not prevent you from staying at such a lovely property! Will definitely return next year!

Room Tip: It is worth the extra money for mountain views. You are in your own little villa which is cute. We s...

This was our second visit to the Sanctuary. We stayed in a Mountain Suite this trip, as we needed the extra room for entertaining on this business trip. Although I missed the outdoor tub of the spa casita, it was wonderful to have kitchen space and a dining table. The service was even more extraordinary since the last trip, and the property was more lovely with the propane torches to keep guests warm on chilly desert evenings. I am glad our company chose Phoenix for a headquarters. Can't wait to come back, and relax more next time.

We spent 4 nights at the beautiful Casa 8 - Montana. We couldn't have possibly asked for a nicer stay. The views are nothing short of incredible. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL -always willing and ready to serve. The wonderful food prepared by Chef Beau MacMillan just put everything over the top. Cant wait to get out there again.

Room Tip: If you can manage... the Casa's up the hill are incredible, although I cant imagine there being...

I'm a professional photographer and web strategist that traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona with a client to cover an Artist-in-Residence weekend at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa. The property is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking and they obviously worked very hard to cultivate an atmosphere of exclusivity and luxury. You don't feel like you're anywhere near civilization when you're there, you feel like you've been transported far away to an otherworldly desert oasis. But, the great thing is, you're basically in downtown Scottsdale and have all the amenities and conveniences that that provides.

We had the privilege to experience Elements Restaurant, Jade Bar, and the main pool area. All where impeccable, clean, and with perfect service.

Had the distinct honor to stay at Casa 8, also known as Casa Montana, one of their premier lodging options. If you have the opportunity to stay there don't miss it! It's a beautiful house with a very elegant yet cozy interior design. Would absolutely treasure the chance to stay there again.

The trip was one I will never forget, for many reasons both personal and professional, but Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa played a very large part in it being unbelievably special.

Room Tip: The individual Casas are the height of comfort and luxury. If you are traveling with a large party f...

Spent 7 nights at this fabulous resort and couldn't fault it. If you can afford it opt for a Spa Casita as everything is right on your doorstep. Beautiful pool area, lovely spa, tennis, gym and lap pool all within a few steps of your door. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and just managed to maintain the right balance without being intrusive. The concierge service had all the directions to get to the local golf courses and helped us with restaurants as we did not have GPS on the rental car.

Dine in the restaurant at least once. Pricey but well worth it. We had great lunch and breakfasts as well but only dinner once.

Only complaint is that the bar area and outdoor patio isn't really big enough for busy evenings and we couildn't get a seat easily outside which was disappointing.

Beds were lovely and room was very well equipped but the air conditioning made the air too dry overnight. It was too hot to sleep well most evenings.

We did not expect mosquitos where they only have about 7 inches of rain a year but we both were bitten many times, as were most of my colleagues. Go well equipped with repellent!

Room Tip: Spa casita if you can afford it. The mountain casitas were a little remote and some have no outdoor...

Stayed here for 5 days for a business condense for the second time in a year. This place is amazing. The levels of service and attention to detail are off the charts. I didn't get to do any of the recreational activities at the hotel or in the area, but the setting and levels of service are quite astounding.

The spa, pool, accomodations, food, staff are all just wonderful. Our mountain casita had two balconies, great views, COMFORTABLE bed / pillows. Turn down services lights candles in the room and makes you feel like visiting royality. Restaurant is awesome. Breakfast is OUTSTANDING - fast as a flash room service. Staff will try to accomodate any request. We travel extensively, and this is one of the few places I have visited twice. Both times just to go this resort (we ventured out to hike / run / shop a little - but mostly go here just to chill out). Ideal for couples get-a-way. I cannot say enough nice things about it. It is not a bargain, but it is not a bargain experience. It is a simple, comfortable, unpretenious luxury at an equivalent cost, in my opinion. The watzu treatment (underwater / suspended massage) with Jean is the MOST AMAZING spa experience I have ever had. Anywhere. For any amount of money. And I have probably visited about 20+ spas in the last 10 years.

Room Tip: when the weather is nice, you will love a balconey to eat breakfast upon ;-)
