“Very Relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

My wife and I have been to Montelucia resort several times. She always enjoys the spa, while I enjoy the quiet relaxation, delicious food, exercise equipment and pools. The staff are friendly and will make your stay fun and relaxing. I have even enjoyed the spa with her several times, and also the special spa terrace pool. The menus at the various restaurants are great and you will find it hard to choose from the many great appetizers, entrees and desserts.

Room Tip: If you want quiet, ask for a room at the back where there is little foot traffic. If you plan on ma...

My husband and I visited the week after Christmas for a few days and played golf in the area. Charming hotel, good restaurant. Didn't make it to the spa. Great service from everyone from valet parking, housekeeping, and wait staff. The concierge was extremely helpful with restaurant and golf course suggestions and reservations. The one bedroom unit we had was very spacious and clean. Maybe could have used some updating with new furniture. If you are thinking of going check out Southwest Airlines vacation package. That's what we did and felt it was very reasonably priced.

This place is stunning, serene, and the service is impeccable. The spa is one of the most beautiful spas I have ever seen and I have been to some of the best all over the world. I have been to Morocco and this place really did well in fashioning it with a Moroccan theme while maintaining it's Arizona desert feel. Highly recommended for anyone.

Room Tip: A room facing Camelback mountain with a patio is gorgeous for sunsets and sunrises.

Wow, this is a beautiful hotel. As other reviewers have stated, we were pleasantly surprised to get a really great deal since we went in early July (off season) and the room was basically less than we paid for Best Westerns and other hotels elsewhere. The only irritating thing here is that everything is "extra" - self parking, valet parking, resort fees, etc. It would probably be better if they just rolled all that up and made the room cost slightly higher - otherwise it felt like this beautiful place was kind of nickel and diming, if you know what I mean.

We didn't get to take advantage of everything the hotel had to offer (spa, pool) because we had such as short stay and the temperature was up in the 100's. But the Prado restaurant for breakfast was excellent (4 of us did the buffet, my kids ordered off the menu - actually, they even made a special plate for my little one) and the service was fantastic. I woke up early just to go out and take pictures, since everything was just so lush and pretty. Definitely a very "trendy" vibe, though... not very many children (in fact, one pool is for adults only).

So... very glad we stayed here. Oh, and the bellhops were extremely nice and helpful!

Room Tip: would recommend a view of Camelback, but be sure you get a bellhop to take you back and forth with y...

I was here for a conference in late June and then stayed for a few days afterward with my family. I loved this resort and I didn't even try the spa! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Each morning the housekeeping staff would take my dauter's teddy bear and wrap him up or position him on the bed. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was HUGE! The pool was so nice. I would definitely return.

My wife and I recently stayed here for a conference. The rooms were great. We loved the spacious rooms and the private balcony. It had a great view of the mountains as I strolled the property. The staff was very helpful at meeting our needs. The the food was superb. The meals during the conference were fantastic and very tasty. We had a great breakfast.

Room Tip: because of the design of the property, I think there are choices of many good rooms.
