“Samoa at its best!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

My partner and I spent 3 nights at Sinalei in a beach front Fale in October after several friends recommended it. We will be back! Sinalei is a beautiful, calm and welcoming resort. It has taken the very best of Samoa and showcased it beautifully whilst staying true to its roots. The most obvious example of this was the staff. I cannot speak more highly about the warmth, genuine friendliness, patience and generosity shown to us by each and every staff member; from the serene manageress herself to the security guards. The waiters and bar staff were exceptional and made you feel like they were welcoming into a place they were genuinely proud to work in. We had some unusual requests (like organizing a tattoo artist to come and complete my partner's cultural tattoos) but each request was dealt with efficiency, grace and kindness. We even had an embarrassing issue when my credit card was temporarily blocked (the bank suspected a fraudulent transaction) but the reception staff showed me nothing but sympathy and understanding rather than disapproval and annoyance. This is very much the Samoan way, so I was told, and it was nice to see this attitude wasn't washed away by corporate hospitality.

The Spa rooms are the most beautiful and natural I have ever been in with views of the ocean and the sea breeze ventilating the room.

The food was fusion western and samoan and done very well. The restaurant location was outstanding.

We spoke to quite a few guests from visiting resorts who all commented that Sinalei appeared to have the best staff and food so we feel quite confident we chose the best place to stay.

Sinalei is a really special place. Thank you to everyone there who made our stay perfect!

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms. We stayed in a beach front view but the ocean view rooms and garden rooms we...

We went in a group of 3 couples in September for 5 days away from the kids and had the BEST holiday ever. Friendly staff that don't get in your face but are there when you need them and always so lovely, a beautiful location, brilliant spa, divine pool, great food and fab cocktails! what more could you ask for?! We stayed in the garden rooms, rooms 10-14 are the ones we had are are the best garden rooms because have sea views, they're closer to reception and the pool so you'd think they might be noisy etc but not at all and being close to those places was fab!
Highly recommended! We're already planning our trip back again next year :)
thank you Sinalei!!

Spent a wonderful 6 nights at Sinalei in October and like many reviewers, loved it. The resort was beautiful, staff were friendly, food was great and there is a nice beach out the front. If you're looking for a relaxing break away from the usual touristy desitinations look no further - Sinalei is perfect.

We spent 6 nights at the Sinalei Hotel in early October 2012 and its such a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The resort is very beautiful, tidy and clean. We were amazed with how quiet the resort was. The food was beautiful - breakfast menu and dinner menu - with some nice Samoan dishes thrown into the mix. We stayed in an Ocean View suite and it was well looked after - clean and tidy. There were odd touches of magic everyday, with Sefo writing messages on a fresh picked leaf and Tono giving a smile and a nice 'talofa' as she readied the bed for the night and turned on the AC. The staff were amazing, especially the boys who served us at dinner and breakfast. They were funny and engaged in conversations easily. Luma, Pele, and Nico were hillarious at the story telling and ava ceremony - they made the experience really enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back again to Sinalei.

We have just returned for a 6 day stay at Sinalei Resort (Oct 2012) we had OVE Fale each morning waking up to an ocean view was fantastic. Beautiful people and the fantastic staff always ready to assist, The rooms very clean and have most mod cons water pressure a slight problem but not a concern. Meals very generous and fresh, we found snorkelling around the resort disappointing and that could be because of recent events. Our only disappointment was the lack of understanding/communications between staff and the fishing boat skipper we wopuld have liked to have done either fishing and or snorkelling on an outer reef, however looking at what was being caught daily we may have saved ourselves some tala; We would recommend the Sinalei Resort to our friends and look forward to going back soon.

Room Tip: All ocean vies great value

We have just returned from a fabulous 5 night stay at Sinalei Reef Resort. What an amazing resort, it far exceeded our expectations and they were pretty high. Stunning location with very friendly staff. It is the perfect location to get away from it all and relax.

We had our breakfast included and it was an enormous meal every morning. The food at Sinalei was fabulous, with the highlight being the Seafood Platter. The restaurant is gorgeous out over the water. We went down to Coconuts and another little restaurant in between the two hotels, so you are not restricted to only eating at Sinalei.

I had two massages during the visit as they were sublime. The breeze coming in while you listen to the lapping water couldn't be better.

We highly recommend Sinalei to anyone looking for a trip to Samoa. We visited a few of the other resorts we had thought about and none of them compared. Sinalei is a step up on all the others.

Room Tip: We stayed in a Garden View Room (11) which was large and the outdoor shower was a great. Our room wa...

I have just returned from 6 amazing days staying at Sinalei Reef Resort, the staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to learn your name and ask how your day was. The resort itself well i'm not sure if resort is the right word for it as i think it is definitely a retreat it was a slice of paradise. The team were great in running their own tours and the food was superb, you really can't complain having dinner at a restaurant over the water watching the sun set and listening to the band play. I will definitely be recommending to Sinalei to all my family and friends and will make sure i return in the near future!

Should you decide to stay here you MUST have a massage and go on the East Coast Tour

Room Tip: We went in the Ocean View Fales and they were stunning, nothing better than lying on a sun lounger o...
