Aganoa Beach is a fantastic spot and when it has waves I couldn't imagine a better set up, however the service there left a lot to be desired.
The staffs general attitude left us with a sour taste. Simple requests were too much for some staff to bother with, and we would be left waiting and they wouldn't return. We never met the proprietor in the week we were there. One exception is the local surf guide, who was great.
As vegetarians we weren't really catered for, food OK but they were forever running out of things, especially at breakfast (don't sleep in!)
Our main gripe was one of the staff who tried to charge us 20 tala each (there were 4 of us) for a ride into town. We were going to call a taxi when they offered to take us as they were dropping someone else off on-route. A ride to town in a taxi is usually 30 tala max, so they were going to make a hefty profit from this!! When we asked to talk to Keith about it, we were fobbed off and so we subsequently refused to pay.
This place has so much potential, but due to a (seemingly) total lack of management it leaves a bit to be desired. For the price you pay the above shouldn't really happen.
