We had a wonderful stay at Savaii Lagoon recently with family. I have little to add to the other excellent reviews as they cover all the great things about this resort, but will just mention a couple of standout things for me. First, the service is excellent. Sarah and Wayne looked after us really well and nothing was a problem. In the restaurant the staff were awesome as well, Fiona deserves a special mention as she is a great waitress and really friendly and attentive. It's a really good choice for young children, the beach is very child-friendly and the rooms are very comfortable for families. A huge plus is that the water in all the taps is safe for drinking, handy if you have toddlers who like to drink in the shower! It was also great to see the locals collecting safe drinking water from the tap at the front of the resort, it's wonderful that this resource is benefitting the whole community. Incidentally, we stayed in bungalow 6 and were never bothered by the rooster! I will be recommending Savaii Lagoon to all my friends, it's a real gem.

This resort exceeded my expectations. The fale's or villas were beautiful. Our villa had a separate bedroom, a lounge with an amazing view of the beach, a dinning room table, was self contained and the bathroom / shower was awesome!
The beach was literally 10 steps from our villa............ beautiful golden sand and the water was amazing, clear and warm. The snorkeling was the best, my four year old spent hours just snorkeling around looking at the many different types of fish, the best thing was you didn't have to go deep! There was kayaks available which were a real treat.
The beach front restaurant was lovely, the breakfast that's complimentary was really great the smoothies were a real treat and the staff were helpful, polite and easy to talk to.
Our kiwi hosts were great... When it was time for us to leave my daughter wanted to stay with Sarah!
Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great place to relax!

Wasn't to sure what we booked until we arrived Sarah showed us to our self contained bungalow, what we saw was a amazing and beautiful setting, Paradise. The beach was 10 yards from our front door and the water was so clean that you could see your feet. The 3days we stayed there was too short, the lagoon was alive with a variety of amazing fish. And the food was fabulous and affordable. Our 4 year old daughter loved snorkelling as it was so safe for the little ones to swim and snorkel. The cafe served a variety of good meals and very affordable . We found a amazing resort where we could just relax and enjoy without being bothered by stray dogs and cats and the staff are very friendly . Awesome Resort.

We found Savaii Lagoon Resort to be in a beautiful setting, with clean and comfy accommodation, great food and fabulous managers, Wayne and Sarah, making this resort a winner!
We spent three weeks in Samoa, and appreciated the fact that management at Savaii Lagoon Resort did not appear to boss staff around. as we experienced at other resorts. Staff were all cheerful and the daily cleaning ladies did an excellent job, providing fresh towels and sheets regularly. No need for me to say more. The other positive reviews say it all.

We were lucky to find this gem of a resort, friends recomendation from an trip last year. The resort was simple but lovely, clean ,with friendly helpful kiwi managers, a stones throw from an amazingly gorgeous lagoon with reef and fish. The onsite cafe was great, good breakfast which was part of price and very nice blackboard menu of fresh local food. Also theres a pizza place over the road with terrific thin crust pizza and a small shop for the tonic and chippies. We had 5 nights there and it was the highlight of our 10 day stay in Samoa.Only the rooster was a bit annoying but we got used to him after a while, cetainly feels like youre in a Samoan viilage.Well be back.!

As soon as we were taken to our bungalow via the beach, I knew I was going to enjoy this place. It has a really great location right on the beach. The lagoon makes it very easy to swim and they also have kayaks available free to guests that you can take out at any time.

The food in the restaurant was pretty good and the service is absolutely fine, no issues at all. One thing to note is that you have to order what you want for dinner, together with a time for later. I guess it's a pretty small resort (with 8 bungalows in total I think) so they don't want to have anything go to waste.

There is not much in the village itself, however this is typical of basically everywhere in Samoa. Having said that, there is another nice hotel next door where you can go to eat, and there is also a pizzeria across the road that does very nice pizza so you can mix things up.

This is definitely a place to come if you want to relax.

The only con I would add is a very annoying rooster that lives out the back of the hotel. We were in bungalow 6 and this thing started making it's racket at 3am the first night we were there keeping us awake for quite a while. Air con might also be something for the owners to consider as it was a little hot at night (though the days we were there were REALLY hot so it may not always be an issue).

Overall a very good option if you are visiting Savaii (other than Le Legoto next door, I don't think there's much else to this standard on the island) and somewhere I will most likely go back to. I actually got engaged to my partner on the beach while we were there, so that should tell you something about just how good this location is!

Dear Stevo3161981,
Thank you for an excellent review. We appreciate your compliments about Savaii Lagoon resort and the time you have taken to write the review.
Regarding the rooster, the resort is in the middle of a village as you know. We do appreciate the annoyance he can cause as sometimes he does not know day from night. Other times he is very quiet. We have a consensus vote on Savaii Lagoon resort Facebook about the rooster. Some people hate the rooster, the majority like him. Once again thank you very much from the team at Savaii Lagoon.

Savaii Lagoon Resort has everything you need for a relaxing, stress free holiday.
The rooms were clean & tidy, no air conditioning but that wasn't a problem with louvers to let the sea breeze in. The beach is on your doorstep & the restaurant overlooking the water.
My stay wasn't long enough (only 2 days) to enjoy everything they have to offer so I will be back.
