The drive from the wharf took an hour and cost $80 tala, later we found out it should've been $60. Its a killer jouney if you've just driven from Apia, then the ferry, then another hour by car.

If you need anything (like Tala or packet food) you need to pick it up before you get to the resort or you have to drive an hour back to the main shops.

We attended a wedding held at the next door Le Lagoto resort & stayed at Savaii Lagoon because we were travelling as a family and Savaii Lagoon had a kitchenette which was invaluable (emergency jam sandwiches between the ceremony & dinner)

NZ Cereals were corn flakes & weetbix. For daily fruit we got coconut, pawpaw, bobby banana's & sometimes pineapple, along with a loaf of bread. Condiments were jam, marmalade, peanut butter & butter.

We stayed for 5 days. The beach is quite small, but the snorkelling great. Our kids got a bit bored. I think if we were to do it again we would spend a couple of nights at Le Lagoto (as they have a pool and the restaurant serves great food -we ate there every night anyway) and would've arranged a hire car for a couple of days in advance. We couldn't get one once we arrived.

Recommend taking juice sachets unless your ok with water or fizzy and snack food as the dairy only sells donuts. We brought 3 packets of biscuits which were all stale.

I would stay there again but with a car to explore the rest of the island.

We stayed at this place for 3 days, had an unpleasant stay due to the resort service and plus the weather wasn't helping. We spent most of our time out of our room as we had no chance of changing hotels as our trip was prepaid. The beach was great so we did have something positive in our stay.

This resort was absolutely the highlight of our trip. The owners are just gorgeous and my husband and I had many long and interesting chats with them. We came to Samoa on our honeymoon and Savaii Lagoon Resort was the pinnacle of our exerience.
The lagoon is stunningly beautiful and warm. I spent hours and hours snorkelling and marvelling at the plethora of sea-life living there.
The rooms are spotless and charming, with lovely lagoon views.
If you're looking to self-cater there's a kitchen in the bungalow, or you can just take a leisurely stroll down the beach to Le Lagoto and dine at their restaurant.
We had a tour organised for us by the concierge at Le Lagoto and it was fabulous. I highly recommend it.
The best part of the accommodation is that you can lay on the beach for hours in the shade of their mini-fales and watch the crabs battle it out for supremacy, or read to your heart's content.
I can't recommend this place more highly and I've already told every single friend and family member to go and stay there.

I spent five days at Savaii lagoon resort with another couple and their 18 month toddler. I had a fantastic holiday except unfortunately for me there were no hot girls there at the time. However, the beach was great and it was cool to walk barefooted on the clean soft sand. Snorkeling was amazing with a variety of coral. The water was warm and clear. The accommodation was bungalows right on the beach, spacious and clean and I could not fault anything. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The local beer, vailima was not too bad and for a large bottle it was cheap. Climb up the water tower. Recommended for great photos and a view. I will definitely go again but next time with a nice looking chick!
