We enjoyed the walk up to the Glacier although it was hard work! If you are used to hiking you would not have a problem. We were lucky as the day we went up the mountain there was a break in the weather.
It was spring and the skiing area was closed but there was still a lot of snow with some quite deep drifts-up to knee and thigh level!
The guides we had were great. Estaban, the local guide, carried coffee and biscuits which we drank and ate in front of the glacier.
Well worth the effort!
