This restaurant is a little bit away from the main tourist shops but still on the main street (San Martin) in the direction of one of the principal attractions of Ushuaia, the old prison which is now museums.
The lamb roasting in the window is the same cooking method as the ones in the town center but a bit quieter and cheaper. The service is relatively speedy. Paradoxically it does not seem to be run by Argentines although, that is the food it serves and very good it is too. A perfectly adequate wine selection suitably matched to what is not 'fine dining' but good quality basic BBQ type eating.
A short walk down to the port, the museums or back into town to work off the meal or work up an appetite beforehand. Enjoy, without the same crush (or even queues) as in the town center.
