“Fresh and clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012 via mobile

The hotel appeared like it had just been renovated. The beds were clean and the pillows were amazingly fluffy. The bathrooms were also very clean and bright.
The place is located slightly out of town up on a hill therefore, you have amazing views of the lake behind the town but it is a hike into town which isn't great at night.
The only annoyance was that the owners wanted to make all the money from us as possible trying to charge for small extras including getting annoyed when we requested a second glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. In addition, she refused to let us eat in the rooms (possibly why they are so pristine).

Overall, a great hotel.

We stayed at the above B&B for 5 days. The rooms are clean, the hospitality is superb, we think genuine. The access to town is a 10 minute walk, or a cab can be organised. Mariana is a superb cook and hostess, and Ricardo has a wonderful twinkle in his eye. He certainly keeps things moving.
Given our experiences with the difficulties faced in travelling in South America, this place offers unique value.
Age groups are no issue, with 7 rooms, there is good space. Plenty of reading and relaxing areas. A good aspect over the Lake and town.

Room Tip: All rooms are upstairs, no advantage (or disadvantage) with any of them. Good insulation between r...

Hello,
Roble Sur is a small hotel but has a great service. All the staff is there to help you to make a good time of your days in El Calafate.
The rooms are big and beds are very confortable, but without TV. Many nice objects for decoration in all the hotel.
Very good small restaurant in place.

My wife and I were met at the Calafate airport by our hosts who transported us and our luggage to the hostel. We were shown our room which was simply but elegantly appointed.
The accommodation was extremely neat and very clean. In the morning we were served a wonderful assortment of breakfast choices....cereal, yogurt, croissant, breads, freshly squeezed orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, butter, jam and dulce de leche spread. There is a computer available for guest use. The whole experience was one of being taken care of as one of the family without being overbearing.

We stayed in Roble Sur four nights. This new hotel is located not far from the city (500 meters) and enjoys a very nice view. Since it is located outside of the town so it is very quiet at night and you can have a very good rest after your visit of the glaciers.

It worths stays there if you have a car. It takes only one minute to arrive at City center by car. The price is very fair. The room is spacious with a huge bed (180 cm) and the huge window has a very nice view of the town and the lake Argentino. It has three small living rooms which are very cosy and warm.

The breakfast is very delicious. It offers not only hot bread but also genuine orange juice and fresh fruits. Everything is spotlessly clean and nice. The owner and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Recommendable!

This new hotel located on the edge of town offers luxurious rooms with great views at an attractive price. Not only that, the family that runs the hotel seems willing to go to any length to make their clients happy.

This would be a great place for folks with a rental car, or a group with their own transportation as it is located about a kilometer from the center of town. We often walked into town for dinner and took a remis (taxi) back for 5 pesos.

The family that owns the hotel has traveled widely (apparently) and they have built a hotel to their own high standards. The beds were large and comfortable, the facilities clean and modern, and the whole package made us reluctant to leave.
