“Perfect way to spend a day in El Calafate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Booked this tour a bit hesitant as some reviews said it was too long...forget about it, not long at all, if you come this far and don't go see the glaciers you will be missing a big part of the whole point. The whole trip was absolutely amazing from the moment you leave the port until you come back...don't miss it.

“Good, bit overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Good tour. Bit overpriced and crowed.
In general you get a good overview of the most important glaciers.

“Very nice tour, a little too long though”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We did the mini trekking tour the day before and once you get the glacier concept, you want to see them all..! So this is the tour for getting this experience. A bus picks you at your hotel early morning and takes you to Puerto Banderas at Lago Argentino (Argentina’s biggest lake, made of glacier water, amazing). There you pay the national park fee (in cash, 130 pesos, around US$ 26) and board a big catamaran. Even though the boat has a small coffee shop, it is pretty expensive and does not have many options, so it is recommended to bring your lunch. The boat is clean and comfortable. Once on board they give you the option of upgrade to the Captain’s Club (around US$ 50 per person) where drinks and some food is included and you can enjoy better seats (that’s all). Two hours navigation going up to the Upsala Glacier, one hour there, one hour navigation to the Spegazzini Glacier, one hour more there, two hour navigation time to the Perito Moreno glacier, one hour there and one hour to take you back to Puerto Banderas, where they take you back to your hotel or downtown El Calafate. A lot of glaciers and a lot of navigation time. The views are amazing and the glaciers, out of this world. No much room at the outside decks downgrades the experience a little since sometimes you have to fight for an spot to take a picture and some people gets nasty protecting its personal space – no sharing….! Thanks to God we had a beautiful day so the views were great and it was allowed to be outside (inside you have big windows but may get a little too hot and you are sharing spaces with people, standing, walking, drinking and eating.. so being outside is the way to go). This tour on a cold or cloudy day might be a nightmare… In general, our experience was great and the service of the provider and the boat crew were outstanding, so it was the quality of the boat. Some mixed feelings though, too crowded, and definitely, way too long..

“One day on Lago Argentino”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

I am so glad I took the "Todo Glaciares" tour in El Calafate. It was a wonderful experience.

A van picked us up at the hotel and brought us to the bus, which left for Puerto Bandera. There, we took a catamaran and started the trip over Lago Argentino. The weather was sunny, which certainly helped a lot. You'll get to see the Upsala glacier (although the boat did not get too close, so make sure you take a zoom lens with you if you are into taking photos), several smaller ones, and finally Perito Moreno, arriving from the north side.

You can stay inside the boat and see the icebergs and glaciers through the big windows, but you get full enjoyment only if you stay on the deck and feel the wind in your face. Do not miss!

“Amazing Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

I was told not to do this excursion as it was better to go to the glacier itself, etc. I'm so glad I decided to do it. It is impressive. We decided to do this excursion first to have a touch of the glaciers before visiting the Perito Moreno one and walk on it. The catamaran was very clean, the service is good, the videos are very interesting and the sailing among the icebergs a must!
