“A lovely walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We stayed near here, and went for a walk. There is a path, with signs around. Didn't see any wildlife to speak of, but it was very pleasant indeed. We watched a beautiful sunset from the promenade which leads to the path, and flocks of birds flying across it.

“Saw pink flamingoes!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Contrary to some reviews, I gotta see quite a few animals ranging from birds, ducks, flamingoes and horses! The 2km trail should take an hr max but if u walk real slowly, u will take longer. I enjoyed sitting at point 10 on the trail map to wait for the sunset and enjoyed the view of Lake Argentino. Saw some crazy guys kite surfing in this chilly weather and admired their skills & guts! Do visit if u like walking in a "dried-up meadow" (the Calafate plant is not in season) and taking in sights and sounds of birds.

“saw lots of interesting birds on our walk around the Laguna”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We even saw a few flamingos plus several other varieties of birds on our hike around the perimeter. The gal in the office was very helpful in giving us instructions on how to walk back to our hotel...and then called a taxi for us when we came back saying we'd gotten lost!

“Where were the birds?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is a very poor example of a reserve. Via a walking trail of about an hour you take a circular route through wetland and around a small lake. Bird life, wild life, any life along the way was scarce to say the least. In fact the biggest group of birds were mainly grouped near the entrance hut. Should have watched from there rather than wasting the entry fee & time walking round
