El Boliche de Alberto was easily the best meal we had in Argentina. The prices were 50% of what we were charged in Bueno Aires and the quality of the steaks was superior. We arrived just before the restaurant opened it doors and had second thoughts before fortunately conquering our doubts that the dark restaurant would come alive. Within 15 minutes of being seated, the restaurant filled with satisfied diners. The steaks--bife chorizo-- were extremely tender, tasty, and perfectly cooked medium-rare. The salad and sides were also perfect and a half-bottle of Trapiche Malbec went very well with the meal. We were shocked that prices were 50% of those in Buenos Aires. We would have returned had the trip been longer.
