“Enjoyable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

This is a lovely modern hotel just about 10-15 min easy walk to centre of town. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, main shopping area is very close. Front desk staff is very professional and helpful, eager to accommodate all of your requests. They can also book tours for you. My room was on the first floor and opened onto a patio connecting to the beach in front of Nahuel Huapi lake. That was great, you are able to walk around and witness the sunrise and sunset right by the lake. The room was large with comfortable bed and was well laid out, so was the bathroom. It did show some wear and tear but nothing major. Housekeeping was adequate. The only noise that I heard was from the neighboring rooms which housed a large senior tour group that liked congregating on the patio in the evenings and these people were totally inconsiderate about the other guests of the hotel. Thankfully, they were going to sleep fairly early and weren't disturbing my sleep, nonetheless it was very annoying. The breakfast was buffet style and offered a large variety of choices. I found it decent but agree that wasn't much to write about. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior room with lake view, you will enjoy the views and not hearing the traffic on the...

I selected this hotel for it's near cbd location.
It is a pleasant mid level hotel and perfectly adequate for a short stay
I had a quiet room right at the bottom with a semi private lawn and beach frontage
Bariloche , in spite of it's romantic history , was entirely forgettable

We had a lovely room here on our tour with magnificent views of the lake and the Andes. Beds were very comfortable. Entire hotel was very clean. We got a good night of sleep and enjoyed being within walking distance of town. The breakfast is adequate but nothing special. Plenty of space and food for all the different guests. We hiked a lot around Bariloche and were happy to jump into the lovely indoor pool after a long day.

Room Tip: See if you can get a room on the lake side. I understand the other rooms are just so-so. That view...

This hotel is gorgeous with a beautiful setting and well located. But, the rooms near the street have to put up with people using the gas station all night long. The rooms with a view of the lake listen to the disco until 5:00am as the noise is amplified by the water. The tiny rooms 307 and 407 look mostly into a concrete wall and listen to what sounds like rain on a tin roof all night.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed. Our tour group stayed here for three nights. It is on the lake with a spectacular view of the lake and the mountains across the lake, which had a covering of fresh snow even though this is the summer. The room was large, clean with a comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV, large bathroom with a jacuzzi bath tub and shower. The wifi was free, but to get a good signal you need to go to the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide chose of food and juices. We also ate dinner here the first night and the food and service was excellent. Because it was a large group, the chose for the main course was chicken or pasta, both were very good. This was the best hotel on our three tour of South America. We can definitely recommend staying here.

This hotel ranks as one of the best hotels we stayed in our 25 day trip to South America with a tour group. The location is beautiful. Our room looked right over the lake with a nice bay window. A little on the small side the room had a double bed rather than a queen or king as we had hoped. The bar is excellent with panoramic views of the lake. The restaurant was superb with nice furnishings and a good selection of food. There is an indoor pool and spa and even a pool table. The floor numbering system is a little quirky but you catch on pretty fast. There is a mini-mart in a gas station across the street for basic food or water needs. Town is about a 20 minute or so walk. Tip- a nice pizza restaurant- walk across the street away from the lake past the gas station and turn left onto San Martin- about a block or two on the right hand side. Good pizza- order the individual size it is plenty believe me and the prices are excellent. If you ever visit Bariloche you must take the scenic chair lift to the top of Mt Campanario. National Geographic calls the views one of the ten best in the world. Pray for good weather.

Room Tip: The lobby is on the 5th floor- the 7th floor is actually below the lobby level with the restaurant o...

After being on 2 cruises and 2 bus rides, this place was a welcome relief. The receptionist and the bellman, Juan, were efficient and cordial. Our room was very small but the view of the water was great. I was worried about not having an air conditioner but the staff reassured me that I would not need it . I would need the heater. They were right. We had two small twin beds which surprised us but we did not complain since we were only staying here overnight. We were given 2 coupons for drinks and we chose to get soft drinks. That was when we met the two Oscars- the bartenders. They were very friendly. They even shared some of the cheeses that one brought from home. Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. The servers at breakfast were aloof. I wish we could have stayed here longer but we had to fly to Ushuaia the next day.
