“Wonderful Experience at the El Casco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

We stayed for 3 nights in The El Casco Art Hotel in the Soldi Suite. The suite was spacious with a separate sitting room and balcony and the most marvelous views across the lake. This is a beautiful hotel, full of art works, and one of the best experiences we have ever had in a hotel. The restaurant is wonderful for both lunch and dinner, with an excellent chef producing delicious food. The restaurant staff were just so good, Lourdes and Emmanuel at dinner, and Yolande at breakfast and lunch. Lourdes in particular could not have been more helpful; she is a gem. But all the staff in the hotel was just so good, it really made us feel at home. Always a good sign when we were sad to leave this lovely hotel.

Room Tip: The Soldi Suite is the best

“Lovely hotel with great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

A lovely hotel with great views of the lake. The rooms are beautiful with wonderful art-all different in every room Great bathrooms..Service was also excellent. My husband had massage and they have an indoor/outdoor pool. We had an a very well executed dinner in the dining room although the service was a little off. The only downside was the tiny fitness room where one of the two treadmills was broken. A shuttle to town would be nice as well so you did not need to rely on the remissas.

“Beautiful art gallery hotel, distant from everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012 via mobile

Clean, beautifully designed with art for all tastes everywhere. Friendly, warm staff with good English language skills. Grounds are small but pretty and dotted with outdoor sculpture installations. Small pool and compact workout room. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was exactly the same every day and relatively limited. Dining and activities were all a $10-15 cab ride away. As others have noted, the two lane highway is at the front door so not really a bucolic setting. If had to do over again would stay nearer town and walk to meals and attractions.

“An Amazing Expereince”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

We just got back from almost 3 weeks in Argentina and stayed in very nice hotels but our favorite was El Casco. The service, food and staff were excellent. Had 2 great massages by Sandra and would highly recommend her. The location of the hotel is simply amazing with lots of art by Argentinian artist all around. The sculptures scattered throughout the property (inside and out) add so much. We took the all inclusive package and we felt that it was worth it. It is close to 2 local breweries so it was nice to walk a couple of minutes on the main road and do a beer tasting. We did go to town but I would recommend skipping it as it was very touristy.

Room Tip: The suites are nice but I believe they are on the side of the building where the AC compressors are...

“A Delight in Bariloche”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012

We loved everything about this property. In fact it was one of our favorite stays during a three week trip through Argentina. Every place you look is filled with Latin American Art. The rooms are large, bathrooms spacious with all the amenities you could need.
The pool and gym area are beautiful. The restaurant is refined and serves local dishes. Try the tomato salad at dinner. The chef has come up with a fantastic dish. For breakfast you can get smoked local trout and eggs to your liking. Just ask for what you want. The service and assistance you receive at this hotel is world-class. English is easily spoken by most. It is located in the middle of Bariloche and is a short and inexpensive taxi ride to town or Llao Llao (another small more remote city).

Room Tip: Our room had a beautiful view of the lake, mountains and art filled garden.
