“Stop reading and go”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Seriously. Stop reading. What are you waiting for? I said stop! Go now and order the perfectly cooked Ojo de Bife which for 75 pesos gives you two amazing pieces of meat totalling 400g. Or get the Lomo for 90 if you've got less of an appetite and prefer a "higher quality" less fatty cut (the wife's choice). And get the 80 peso Malbec. It does the job. All with a smile in clean, unfussy surroundings. The Argentinian steak I had been waiting for, at a very good price.

“Very good option in Barilioche”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

We ate here twice during our stay in Bariloche. The restaurant is small and the service quite efficient despite the fact that there are only two servers. Typical Parilla type food with hugh portions ! They take rreservations. Unfortunately, our meal the second time was not as good as the first as the lamb cuts were inferior the second night.

“Excellent meat, even to Argentinian standards”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This place is nicely situated at a small house just above the city center. It is a mecka for food-lovers. The food is just excellent, from the entries, through the gorgous meat to the delicious deserts. The service is perfect and the cost is a lot less than what you would expect from such a place.

“Steakilicious!”

This place is easy to miss, but please don't miss it! It is such a cute and cool restaurant! I had one of the best steaks there and the service was great too.

“Great Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

We chose to eat at Alto el Fuego because we read about it on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The restaurant it self had a wonderful aura and the food was delicious. As we learned, you split meals in Argentina as the portions are huge. We had a wonderful steak, salad, and outstanding Flan for dessert, which our waiter had made. The service was warm and friendly and you were made to feel very welcome.

We made our reservation, online, before we left for Argentina. We would recommend this.

When it was time to leave, they called a taxi for us and we were on our way--what more do you need!
