“Among the finest dining experiences in Argentina”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

A wonderful meal provided by the incredibly attentive co-owner. Ambience was terrific, though we could only see by moonlight the peaks around lake Gutierrez make for a splendid setting. Creative sauces rich in citrus and floral tones. Light yet full of flavor and complexity. Strongly recommended!

“Great restaurant but really expensive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

We had a table for 5 there, but we were the only people in the restaurant. The only guy that served us was Ernesto - he was really lovely and offered us all the gluten free options( turns out his daughter or something has celiac too) . The food wa great- the salad, the rabbit dish and of course- the trout!! It was a great dinner but the price was outrages! Over 50 American dollars per person

“Nice place and good food with original presentations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Cassis was very good, but not good enough to be excellent. Their prices are high and you would expect something exceptional. The 5 course dinner is a nice experience. Some of the offerings were a bit uneven. The same dish served to several people was not always the same. The trout for one was good, while for the other too salty. The signature lamb strudel was a bit too rich which took away from the wonderful subtle lamb flavors. All-in-all, a very good meal.
The views are wonderful, but since they do not open until 8, there are limited times of the year to enjoy the view due to darkness. Arrive a little early to see the views.
We did find the charge for bread was not right at these prices and that the owner's hustling tips for the kitchen help was a bit crude.
Also, if they will offer a 10% discount for cash, they need to let people know so they can have enough cash on hand to take advantage of this discount.

“Can't get any better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Went by private care from Llao Llao hotel - round trip fare was $58.00 with Jorge who was part driver, part tour guide and part travel agent arranged thru the concierge. Ernesto and his wife greeted us. Had a wonderful 4 course dinner with a salad that came from their garden, local trout, and a lamb strudel that was excellent. Very modestly priced wine list. Total bill in US $ 135.00 that in New York would have bought the first course and the wine only, setting was gorgeous and Ernesto really makes you feel special to be his guest.
