“Fantastic Little Property”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2011

We stayed here for a week and absolutely adored it. Clara was so helpful and let us check out later then typically allowed. The first two nights we were there we have the whole house to ourselves!! The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the walk into town was short and pleasant.

We came to Bariloche to ski and the bus stop to the mountain was only twenty feet away!! This is certainly a fantastic place to stay and you cannot beat the cost for such amazing accommodations!!

We ended up staying longer than anticipated because we liked it so much!!

Thanks for the wonderful stay!!

Room Tip: the rooms with a view were amazing!

We read some great reviews on this place which is why we booked it and they are all true. The place is a great little find. The couple that run it are really friendly and you get great service.
We had the downstairs ensuite room which was a great size and nicely furnished. Powerful hot shower, tv with lots of channels and wifi in the room. Although no view.
The location is at the top of a rather steep hill from the main centre, but it was a good walk at the end of the night. Only 10min.
The hotel has a great sized kitchen which we used to cook at night and big lounge area with a view of the lake and mountains. There is a computer here too to use if you need. And a garden and patio to sit out and watch the sun go down.
Because it small too, it has a really homely feel.
Clara was also really really helpful in providing information on what you can do and booking trips should you wish.
We would definitely recommend this place!

On the cab ride to the hotel from the bus station I was very unsure about the location as it seemed the hill from the main street went forever. But it was well worth it as the hotel has great views over the lake from the common areas downstairs and a few rooms (luckily ours was one of them). We booked the cheapest room in the house, double with shared bathroom. Room size was great and had a comfy bed, however the bathroom you use it downstairs which can get a little annoying after a while. But all other rooms have private bathrooms, so we were the only ones to use it. The common areas downstairs were great, massive kitchen which was great for cooking. Only a 6 rooms or so at the hotel so never feels crowded. The walk up the hill isn't as bad as it sems, only the last 100m or so is steep. There is a supermarket nearby aswell as a few restaurants. Staff were very helpful with information and spoke great english. The only recommendation would be to improve the breakfast, it's just small bits of stale bread with some jam and coffee. Other than that it was great!

We were absolutely charmed by the view of the lake from our room. It was exactly what was needed after a 16h trip by bus from Mendoza. Good tip: take a taxi to get there if travelling with heavy luggage: the bust stop is only 200m away from the hotel, but you have to climb steep streets to get to the hotel. We were alone in the hotel (it has only 6 rooms and it was off season) and the Brazilian host/receptionist/manager was just spectacular and helpful in all matters. Room we stayed in was clean and spacy even though not very modern. No problem to pay in EUR/USD/ARS but prefer to pay more for credit card transaction (usual in Argentina anyway). No problem to park a car in front of the hotel. To summarise: a very good choice for a stay in Bariloche

Nao ha disponibilidade de servicos basicos como: sabonete, shampoo, reposicao de papel higienico e toalhas, troca de lencois. A proprietaria (Clara) cobra valor superior ao contrato e trata os hospedes aos gritos. NAO RECOMENDO.

We'd agree, don't be fooled by the views from the street. This really is a great place to stay in Bariloche if you want to stay in a hostel.
