We drive this route as part of a one day tour from Bariloche. the views arestunning. Since we were in an organize tour the bus was able to stop only an some predefined stops (some of the roads are nerrow and you are not allowed to stop). On the way from san Martin we make a small detour and drive by the Limay river, near by the first water dam and artificail lake it creats. The viws chane completly from glaciers and forests to almost a desert. The best part of the road back is the variety of the rock formations along the Limay river as you come closer to Bariloche (if I' not wrong from Confluencia). A very recommended experience. But a long drive.
